You said..."It would help if these types never made it into the country in the first place . ."

Absolutely. But IMO we don't have the security infrastructure and manpower to stop them. A guest worker bill wont stop them. Note that they had fake immigration documents, and fake SSN. It took the combined efforts of 100 agents and LEO to apprehend 14 guys. There are tens of thousands more of these sorts of individuals here right now.

With a guest worker bill implemented at this time...given our present ability to secure our borders and process individuals that are here LEGALLY (expired VISAs for eg.) we will see IMHO an exponential increase in these sorts of individuals...made possible by the phenomena of 'hiding in plain sight'.

There is no easy fix....we must secure the border...implement a secure biometric ID for all visitors to the US...create a secure database for those individuals...drastically increase the ICE and border manpower to keep track of these individuals...increase detention and processing facilities...start significant public crackdowns on employers who hire illegals...in short make a visible public effort to round up and deport illegals that we know are here now.

Of course...that doesn't address the MS-13 scum who are already operating underground in the US...but it decreases their sphere of influence and heightens their visibility.

There is no easy fix now...especially in the form of a guest worker bill.
