Much of the negativity in the Republican primary stemmed from the DeWine campaign, which relentlessly attacked McEwen. In the end, DeWine may have succeeded only in defeating McEwen, because while the freshman commissioner finished a distant fourth, his vitriol perhaps cost McEwen far more than the 705 votes that separated him from Schmidt.
"There isn't any doubt that $1 million worth of attacks did their work," McEwen said Tuesday night

Dang, these were Republicans?! And everybody always said pubbies were boring....
At least Sen. DeWine's pitiful son came in a distant forth in the election.
Conservatives should not be pleased about this very unpleasant turn of events. DeWine will not act rationally and amend his ways, expecting to regain conservative's favor. No, we wounded an enemy but did not defeat him. DeWine will grow to be a hateful, bitter old man, and destroying conservativism will be his pursuit of the great whale.
DeWine is Specter: THe Next Generation.
By witch, or course, I mean DeWine senior.
"Conservatives should not be pleased about this..."
DeWine is a dirtbag. He father a baby with his girlfriend while his wife was carrying his child. He also left his wife for his girlfriend when his wife was about to give birth.
Good riddens. We don't need to gain political power using the scum of the earth.

I'm pleased. Turn of events: very pleasant.
we wounded an enemy but did not defeat him.
Coming in fourth place in a primary race is a pretty sound defeat.
DeWine will grow to be a hateful, bitter old man
Oh, well.
and destroying conservativism will be his pursuit of the great whale.
One can't "destroy conservatism" if one can't get out of a Congressional primary battle.
DeWine is Specter: THe Next Generation.
DeWine is defanged, debunked, and defunct.

Which DeWine are you refering to? If the son, he needs to be elected to do harm.
If the Father, he has an election in '06.
I welcome him to further target conservatives in the lead up to this election. I want him gone and that behavior would aid the goal.
The only message I want sent to Washington is that these politicians should fear EVER betraying their constituents. I am not trying to keep them in office. If elected they'd feel free to spend six years doing whatever they please. I want to make examples of these seven and DeWine is the perfect candidate to target first.
You take down a couple of them, and the rest will begin to get the hint. Especially those keeping a low profile that are tempted to be mavericks themselves. Murkowski for one.
I am thrilled with the result.

I'm with you.
write the rnc and tell them that they won't see a dime unless there is seven primary opponents against the dwarfs
what little i know about ohio politics if sonny took such a licking the old fart is very vulnerable
That's DeTruth.
As I said, "by which I mean DeWine the senior."
I couldn't give a rat's ass about some state legislator's race.
Great shot! Did you take it yourself?
