That's one co-equal right/principle...not "the primary" founding principle. None of them have primacy.
In a nation whose primary founding principle is respect for the inalienable right to life, suicide can never be approved.
We have an inalienable right to free speech. Does that mean you'd send in the Federales to force me to exercise it?
We have an inalienable right to keep and bear arms. Does that mean I am not allowed to set down my guns?

Society may not be able to stop every one, but it should never put its stamp of approval on it.
Maybe you'd not call in the Federales...maybe you'd just have society try to coerce my political views out of me...they should never put their stamp of approval on silence...right? Why have privacy measures when we vote?
