President Bush spent Tuesday replenishing his party's coffers and, in the face of resistance to his Social Security plan and much of the rest of his second-term agenda, struck an aggressive new tone by accusing Democrats of standing for nothing but obstructionism.
"I'm going to continue to call upon the United States Congress, members of both political parties, to stand up, to do what's right for a young generation of Americans coming up, to fix this Social Security system once and for all," Mr. Bush told a gathering of the Future Farmers of America on the campus of Pennsylvania State University.
On a variety of issues, including Social Security, rethinking the tax code and approval of his judicial nominees, Mr. Bush said, Democrats have done nothing but say no to his ideas while offering none of their own.

TELL 'EM BUSH!!!
Telling the truth is an "aggressive new tone"?
I'm not being biased here--the Democrats HAVE been constantly saying "no" and offering nothing in place of the programs they object to, right?
This will be reported by the left, (Case in point.. The NYT's) without the scrutiny of the MSM :-)
If GWB was to say this during a Press Conference, The left would be all over him for being a "Divider, not a Uniter". Even tonight's comments by the POTUS are extremely mild compared to the trash talking Rats have engaged in for the past 4 1/2 years against this President. Yet somehow this President is accused of dividing the Nation...... go figure?
If it wasn't for double standards, Liberals wouldn't have any?
Mr. Bush (President Bush) was the star attraction at two fund-raisers, one in Bryn Mawr, Pa., for Senator Rick Santorum that brought in $1.5 million, the other in Washington on behalf of his party's Senate and House campaign committees that yielded $23 million. It was his most concentrated day of fund-raising since his re-election, and was evidence of the vital role he will play in Republican efforts to hold onto the party's majorities in both chambers of Congress in the 2006 elections.
So the base likes the President. The base will turn out money for the President. This money will be necessary to finance the elections of these Republicans. This President's ability to command loyalty among the base and raise funds will be necessary to secure their re-elections.
Yet these fools think distancing themselves from the President on everything except say, immigration, is a smart political move. Some of our people are real intellectual heavy weights, aren't they?
Note to Reps- Private accounts, tax cuts, KEEP GITMO, strong WOT, Judges, school vouchers, tort reform-all things the base likes. Start supporting the President on these issues!
Great remarks by the President on the Dems. Nice to see the Texan back.
That's what I say - a PRIMETIME Press Conference!
