Publishers are rolling out a string of new books about Hillary Clinton as talk heats up that the Senator from New York will run for president in 2008, USA Today reports Tuesday.
Leading the parade of Clinton books will be "The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far Shell Go to Become President by Edward Klein.
The book goes on sale June 21, but an excerpt in Vanity Fair magazines July issue offers a taste of whats expected to be an extremely harsh look at the former first lady.
"Just as the swift boat veterans convinced millions of voters that John Kerry lacked the character to be president, reads promotional material from the books publisher, Sentinel, "Kleins book will influence everyone who is sizing up the character of Hillary Clinton.
Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said in a statement: "We dont comment on works of fiction, let alone a book full of blatant fabrications written by someone who writes trash for cash.
Sentinel spokesman Will Weisser said the publisher is standing behind Kleins extensive reporting, and declared: "Kleins not a politically motivated attack dog.
In fact, Klein is far from a conservative hatchet man. Hes the former editor in chief of The New York Times Magazine, and author of the best sellers "The Kennedy Curse and "Farewell, Jackie.
The month after the release of Kleins book, last years unflattering "American Evita: Hillary Clintons Path to Power by Christopher Andersen will be reissued as a paperback.
October will bring the publication of "Condi vs. Hillary: The Next Great Presidential Race by former Clinton advisor-turned adversary Dick Morris and Eileen McGann.
The genesis of that book was a NewsMax Magazine cover story in January of this year entitled "Condi vs. Hillary: Dick Morris reveals why 2008 could be the race of the century . . .
Morris publisher ReganBooks says his "Condi vs. Hillary book "traces the trends that could lead to the political race of the century.
Also from ReganBooks: "The Case for Hillary Clinton, a flattering book by Susan Estrich, who ran Michael Dukakis presidential campaign.
The publisher describes it as "an impassioned argument for Hillary as the Democrats leading candidate for president in 2008.
Said Judith Regan, president of ReganBooks: "Hillary is one of those rare people who ignites everyones interest: the good, the bad and the ugly.
Can't wait!
If the choice is HRC or a RINO, I will hold my nose and vote for the RINO.
Who is Storming Market? An Indian?
'The Truth About Hillary' was 250th on Amazon early yesterday, after Drudge reported on it, it climbed to #53; it now sits at #9. Look for the usual liberal reviews to hit Amazon first.
I love FR - One Stop Shop for all of your political needs!
I wonder if any of the books covers her pitching arm..
oh, come on, that's not fair. you caught her before the plastic surgery and eye lift.
Possibly immune to any criticism or revelations by now.
Oh wait. There is ONE thing worse than looking at, or listening to, Susan Estrich. Thats looking at, HELLen Thomas. AAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
It would be refreshing to see any accounts of these books from a source other than NewsMax.
Nope! I already know she's evil. I don't need to read anymore about her.
We sure 'nuf do, don't we?
There's a new one.
And it applies so well to the Clintons.
