That point is addressed in the "Information or What is life v non-life/death in nature?" section of the article. How do we explain the "will to live" - "want to live" - "struggle to survive" - or what amounts to the primary inception of "successful communication" in life v non-life/death.

At the moment there is no known source for information (successful communication) in the universe. Some of the candidates being explored include fields, geometry, harmonics. That leads directly into alternative cosmologies and additionally (or alternatively) may suggest an intelligent cause - a fractal or emergent property relating to consciousness - and most especially because all cosmologies require a beginning, an uncaused cause, God.
