The ultimate objective of "Intelligent Design" seems to be justifying a literal interpretation of the Bible.

However, this conflicts with the Noah's Flood story. It seems to me that even if ID succeeds in poking holes in the Theory of Evolution, this leaves literalists exposed as to how Noah's Flood can be reconciled with science.

If ID is accepted, then it is still to be explained how Noah's Flood an be reconciled with scientific evidence. There are so many contradictions.

This makes me think that ID is a strawman to divert attention from Noah's Flood.

But Noah is a different animal than we are discussing...

The problem MIGHT be resolved if the animals were back to eating plants, but that cranks in even larger seeming problems....
