Hillary Clinton has recast her image in U.S. Senate as a moderate Democrat, but some of her political alliances may still haunt her.
According to Ed Klein's new book "The Truth About Hillary" – set to be released in just days --Mrs. Clinton's chief political guru throughout the White House years and during her first campaign for the Senate was none other than Susan Thomases.
"Thomases was a bred-in-the-bone leftist," Klein says, in excerpts published in Vanity Fair.
She was also "a screamer of obscenities," Klein says of the tough talking feminist.
Klein says Thomases, who played a key role in damage control during the Clinton’s Whitewater days, was also "a fearless practitioner of the politics of intimidation.”
"Over the years," writes Klein, "Thomases had become Hillary's best friend, alter ego, and chief enforcer. She looked the part. With her frizzy salt-and-pepper hair, frumpy clothes and, down-at-the-heel shoes, and expletive-laden vocabulary, Thomases was just the kind of strong-willed, ideologically passionate woman Hillary had always admired."
A high-powered, well-connected New York City lawyer while Hillary was still shackled to her husband's political career in Arkansas, Thomases was the kind of feminist that Hillary wanted to be - but couldn't because of Bill's political career.
Quoting an earlier Hillary bio, Klein notes:
"Thomases was anything but the traditional political wife; she kept her own name after marrying a carpenter-turned-artist, [the late] William Bettridge, who stayed home and took on many of the child-care responsibilities."
Meanwhile, Hillary's chief adviser kept watch at the White House, where she became "the Clinton administration's King Kong - whose advice on everything from personnel to policy [resounded] like a mighty roar through the halls of the West Wing."
What I meant was the books really say nothing that any of us don't already know and anything mentioned that could potentially derail a candidacy or presidency is hearsay.
I still don't think Vince was whacked. But I do think his body was moved.

I agree .. most of us regulars to FR know more than today's press or the public in general.
I think the book was hyped - just to get people to read it. For a lot of the public - the information will not be nice about Hillary and will probably bother some people .. but I agree we probably already know it.
If Vince Fostered wasn't whacked, he was one of the few.
The Gov. 45 was made from 11 other handguns? No way to trace that weapon, and if you kill yourselve, why would you be concerned about anyone tracing the handgun you just used to blow your head off with?

The whole thing was not a simple swallow a bullet scenario.. The man was Asst. Attorney General.. not some despondent teenager.. During that time a whole range of different Clinton apparatchiks were "snuffing" themselves.. and the "accidents" causing death to others was infectious..

Probably the story will never be told.. but suicide didn't happen with Foster.. Ron Brown the POS that he was got "dealt with" too suspiciously.. like all the OTHER "accidents"... It would take a virtual cabal of malafactors to cover ther Clintons in all that happened.. and probably is STILL happening.. They ain't alone in all this..
Not to mention that since the Clintons came to Washington, the whole 'tone' has changed into guttural political warfare. Gone are the days of decorum and genteelness among our representatives. Thanks to the Clintons, the entire democrat party has turned into the equivalent of Arkansas trailer trash at a Saturday night wrestling match.

The possibility that Hitlaries bestests bud political advisor is yet another such "ugly woman" fits her inner circle pattern.
As we get closer to 2008 she will have to make more photops with Bill in order to establish her hetersexual credentials. She may even have to (gasp!) sleep under the same roof in front of the cameras. (serperate beds but the same roof)
