Crazy as that may be, it's still far more than all of the other nations on earth combined. So shine on you crazy diamond!
Shut your LSD Hole.
America has & continues to do more for the world THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD
PERIOD!
Excuse me????
Ya know .. it's comments like that .. that make me say .. to hell with them .. stop ALL funds and we'll just see how "paltry" our percentage is
Why don't these "artists" simply open their checkbook, donate, and then shut the f- up? I forgot... they need to stroke their ego. It is all about them, not the people who are receiving the charity.
To such statemnts
I have become
comfortably numb.
I am getting so sick and tired of people trashing this country, but, then wants to bleed us dry of our money. How about calling on the heads of states of those countries who are poor to step down and replace them with people who want to do more for THEIR own people?? You have to cut the snake off at it's head to end poverty. That starts with whom is leading the country.
ROFL!
Didn't that Norwegian jackass say the same thing about tsunami relief? Didn't even the UN tell him to STFU?
When these aging, overpaid has-beens and never-weres pull out their own checkbooks, instead of just going sing a few songs, then they can talk. In the meantime, they should follow the lead of that UN jerk and just crawl back under their rocks.
I can see Robert Mugabe wringing his hands with anticipation
waiting for his check to arrive
crap on a crutch . . . This is a sign that the end is near. All they need is to bring back Syd for one or two songs. I'll be making a b-line to the confessional.
Have a cigar!
EXACTLY!
Tell you what.
*YOU* donate all the $$ you have made from Pink Floyd to the poor and then perhaps I'll listen.
What's that I hear?
< crickets>
Geez I hope they don't make a movie out of this. The rockumentary "Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii" is the worst movie I've ever seen. And I'm a fan of their music.
There was one hilarious moment in the film-- though it was unintentional. One of them (Waters, I think), looking like someone coming down from a 10 day acid trip, with stringy, greasy hair, bloodshot eyes and sounding like a complete stoner, was being interviewed and said with a straight face he didn't understand why people associated Pink Floyd with drugs.
Money, it's a crime.
Share it fairly but don't take a slice of my pie.
Great news for the music world.
But I wish they would keep their politics to themselves.
