Never heard of "Barney" but how about Tiny Tim's "Tip Toe Through the Tulips?" They would definitely be lining up to have their heads chopped off.
I have always been a classical music listener, so I dont know much about the "up-to-date" stuff unless it is exceptional. And yes, there is a lot of exceptional music out there in spite of the trash.

Would Christina be a biological weapon? That could bring in the weapons inspectors looking for WMD.

Call me a skeptic, but this seems like classic disinfo, let out to deceive the enemy into believing their people in our custody aren't talking, or to just build fear and confuse the hell out of them. Can't tell for sure, but something about the story smells fishy.

I put a name to it: The "MTV music holocaust". It`s a holocaust started by MTV in 1981 that has been systematically destroying the quality of music for the past 24 years like a cancer, and it seems to be getting worse and worse every yearYou are so right. I've been saying that music died in the '80s.

It's a concerted effort alright. Keep the Amnesty International message out there; pound away at Bush poll numbers; deflect attention from Howie Dean tantrums.

Now, having to listen to the Barney theme song 24/7 would drive me insane.Me, too, but that would apply to anything. I'm a guitarist, but 24/7 even of Chet Atkins or Les Paul would start to get on my nerves after a while :)

In the 1961 movie One, Two, three, Brian Hyland's hit record "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polkadot Bikini" was used by the East Germans as effective torture device. Another one that might be effective on the Gitmo prisoners is "The Wrong Idea," Charlie Barnet's infamous novelty tune from 1940.

Thread on DU....." Why is the world a better place without Saddam?"
And the following comment: "Bush keeps saying this, but never tells us why. It sure doesn't seem like the world is better off. Certainly not the United States. Has anyone ever questioned that statement by Bush?"
And the reply:" We now have our own Saddam, his name is Bush, he is a butcher."
Thefolks over at DU, have lost their minds. They are just ecstatic with How-weird Dean's statements and are threatening to quit the party if Dean gets the boot.
I have never seen this type of vicious, mindless hatred in all the years that I have followed and been involved in politics.

I'd just offer him a steady diet of Spam. ,p>I don't think there has been an official statement by any Muslim clerics on whether SPAM is, or is not permissible as nobody has been able to say definitively exactly what it's made of.
