WASHINGTON Jun 12, 2005 Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean said Saturday that positive responses from key supporters have reinforced his determination to keep talking tough even though some congressional Democrats have suggested he should tone down his rhetoric.
"People want us to fight," Dean told the national party's executive committee. "We are here to fight."

For him to "renew" his attacks, wouldn't it require that he stop at some point?

some congressional Democrats have suggested he should tone down his rhetoric. It's a real shame that those democrats actually knew how to win an election, Howard.
Don't listen to those naysayers, you go!

How to read the first sentence:
The folks at moveon.org called and said, "stay the course" or your funding will be cut.

Bring it on, Dean!

I wonder what the dem strategy here is? Maybe Dean is just a loose bent cannon. If there is a strategery, what is the purpose in whipping your party into a frenzy this far from an election?

So Dean thinks he can win over moderate voters by listening to the MoveOn.org crowd? Nice game plan you idiot!

Both sides of the American political spectrum love him. The bases of both parties love him for different reasons and all the people in the middle think he need Prozac. :D

You all are so so so so so so so so so so so wrong.
Howard Dean is WAY too effective as the DNC chairman. We Republicans and conservatives are history as long as he is in that position. We are scared and we know it. Just find someone else in there, anyone else. Not the oh so GREAT Howard Dean.
*note to DU trolls lurking...I really mean it this time. No, I do! Honest. No kidding. You guys are so on the upswing. Please take it easy on us in '06 and '08. *
