History Repeats, 1974 protest talking points (Vanity)

Just a litle history lesson.....I just bought this on Ebay. Is it from 2005? It uses all the key phrases.

This looks like a standard talking points for peaceniks, just insert the name of the war in the appropriate box and start ranting.

It’s from a 1974 home printed newspaper by members of the Black Panthers (My best guess based on the content). Included in this particular issue are features on the “Pig of the Month “, some photos and article about Vietnam Vets against the war (that group rings a bell…Hmmmm) and don’t forget to boycott all Boone’s farm wine (What ever happened to Wild Mountain and Strawberry Hill?).

I remember in 1974 when Boone's Farm was all we basic trainees looked forward to here at Fort Jackson, whenever leave was granted. Had no idea it was boycottable, or what for.

Nothing unusual. Commie/fascist/Socialist/Dum rhetoric NEVER changes. Just the names and places.

Boones Farm(and of course, pot) was THE choice... for the hippie group I hung around with. Politics consisted of ending the war... the rest of our attention was devoted to sex & music.

But when you're 18-24... what do you expect from 'average' youths?

When I see young people espousing conservative politics today... I have to give them a lot of credit. They have fought public school indoctrination and peer pressure to retain the values of this great Republic.

Yep, good kids. To manage to navigate the filth, indoctrination etc etc. They are hero's. And possibly a bright light in the future.

My nephew just finished his first year at a military college. Good grades... good kid. But it came from good parents... and a 'clear', in-depth knowlege of American history.

As long a you have these 'prerequisites', the fog-of-youth will blow off sooner or later and you will be able to take your place in an informed society.
