WASHINGTON - There's nothing like the prospect of a good catfight to get the Cheney family blood flowing.
The vice president and his wife, Lynne, entertained themselves recently by publicly conjuring up the possibility of a Laura Bush vs. Hillary Clinton presidential showdown. "You know, people are thinking of Mrs. Clinton running for president," Lynne Cheney commented during an appearance on CNN's Larry King Live. "I think Mrs. Bush ought to run for president. If we want to have a Bush dynasty, let's get Laura Bush." Her husband, not one to shrink from a kneecapping, offered a prognosis. "It's a great idea," Dick Cheney said. "And I think I know who would win, too."

Hillary... the 'victim'? Funny... I see her more as an 'accessory-to- treason'.

For the first time in national polling, a slim majority of registered voters tells Gallup that they would be "very" or "somewhat" likely to vote for Clinton in the 2008 presidential contest. Someone tell me this is a lie!!!

Ask the Likely voters the same question and let's see how those numbers come in.

It reduces Hillary Rodham Clinton to the status of former first lady, a woman holding no portfolio of her own. It belittles her accomplishment in becoming the first presidential spouse to attain high public office in her own right. It discounts her status as sitting senator from the nation's third-largest state, oh, PULLEEEEEZ! the real issue is that hillary's personality is so shrill and piercing and brittle that the American public could not TAKE her in the driver's seat!
juxtaposing her with first LADY laura bush only accentuates the difference! of course, everyone knows laura bush has no political aspirations yet has emerged as a character of strength without shrillness, much like condoleezza.

We'll be hearing a lot more about that. I still remember how the MSM portrayed her as a "victim" because Rick Lazio pointed near her face during their debate in 2000. Any male candidate is going to be chastised for calling her to task.

Oh lovely. Just think of those white-rimmed eyeballs glaring out of your TV as Prez Hill lectures us for opposing higher taxes. Too much.

Pathetic. That's why feminists torque me so badly. I'm all in favor of letting women compete with men professionally. Provided that they are also held equally accountable. Claiming gender discrimination the first time Hitlery hits a rough patch is not equal consequences. She should not be allowed to compete like a man until she is expected to take it on the chin like one.

The thought of Hitlary in the White House as POTUS literally makes me ill. I don't know if the U.S. could survive another round with the Clinton's, and their body count.

Hillary thrives on public perception that she is a victim. Don't forget that the first chapter of Joyce Milton's "The First Partner: Hillary Rodham Clinton," is entitled "The First Victim."

"McCain and Frist believe they are credible presidential candidates, and they may well be. Speaking their names in the same breath with Hillary Rodham Clinton would bestow upon her the very same level of credibility. So why not?
"Because she's a woman. And because she's a Clinton."
She is neither.

Okay... It's a lie. When you see the words "national poll" and "washington post" in the same sentence, you can take what they say with a grain of salt. Remember what the polls did for the 2004 election? It's pure propaganda.
propaganda: "The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause." (answers.com)
