Do you know why Kristol hates Rummy?

My pleasure. :-)

I'm getting a bit irritated at fantasy being spoken of as reality.

Elections don't count, but polls sponsered by people with an agenda do. It's insane, my head can't take this idiocy anymore.

If someone can give me a real substantial means that proves we're losing the PR war than be my guest. The closest anyone could possibly provide is a decrease in enlistments but it's my understanding that's normal historically after a certain length of being at war. So what else do they got?

If the standard of losing the PR war is the MSM with its head between its knees, well we're going to lose 99% of the time because they don't have the sense to realize when their approval ratings are half of what the President claims as his own. If we're going to take polls seriously our military, our President and our religious intsitutions slam dunk the wannabe president's on the legislative aisle and their mouthpieces. Seems by that standard we're winning this PR blitz.

He is very, very, very bitter then!!! LOL

BTW, there was a TX Supreme Court ruling this last week that the redistricting that caused the dems in TExas to actually leave the state twice, IS legal...

Ya-hooty!!!!!

I'm currently having a weird sys problem... until I clear this up, I'm doing no digging.

There was a NC Republican over the last couple of weeks who TOOK BACK HIS "STANCE" ON FRANCE. I can't think immediately of his name. Someone who was bashing "France" in early WOT, and now wishes to take it back.

Specifically? No.

But Kristol was a big McCain supporter in the day. I'd wager it involves something between those two men related secondhand to Kristol.

Rummy has rustled the feathers of certain Senators because he doesn't play their game. he doesn't kiss their butts, he doesn't pretend their imput is as valuable as his, he's insisting on cutting some of their precious pork by shutting down obsolete bases. Rummy's made enemies of most of the people in the Capitol which makes me love him all the more.

Add to that the Generals that were accustomed to precious perks and believe since they attained a certain rank they are mini gods that shouldn't be challenged by an appointed SOD, Rummy's noted disrespect of the press core and what we have are Senators, generals and MSM that repeatedly call for his head.

THAT ruling got a lot of publicity! NOT!

What the MSM does NOT report, is a serious influence on our understanding of "the news." They just drop huge chunks of info down the memory hole.

Everything you mention? We know better about the polls and the MSM but the enemy in the ME does not. That is the core problem that irritates, worries me, and sets my hair on fire.

BTW, did you see the poll they took in Iran? If President Bush ran for president there, he would win with 75% of the vote, iirc.

Oh, that's an interesting poll. I had not heard that.

The downtrodden people of the world love GWB. It's the world's elites who hate him.

Wasn't Hunter great!

We need to sit down RNC spokespeople and make them watch video of that as an example of how to handle the lies from the left. He kept his cool and was polite but did not allow one lie to go unchallenged.

Why would Rangel introduce the bill, and then vote against it?
TIA

OK, Finally got my head together and have selected some good comments ....have really focused on the Duncan Hunter appearance today on the Foxnews Sunday Show with Chris Wallace as the best piece of Video that I have seen in awhile in absolutely destroying the Leftists attacks on Gitmo as a Gulag ( well that was last week ) and this mornings milder attack "that there is torture there""''"""""""

And in light of that ....I think daffyduct

Summed up a lot of Freepers frustrated feelings with the Lefts drumbeat on this issue with this:

*************************************************************

Blame America! America is Evil! America is Torturing prisoners! BLA BLA BLA... This Human Rights guy speaks softly but he carries a big stick to be used against the USA. Congressman Hunter, though sounding like a waiter at a fancy restaurant as he rattles off the cuisine the Gitmo prisoners are enjoying, threw that Rice Pilaf in the pacifist libs face along with the facts that human rights watch is distorting. Since when is listening to a barking dog torture? (maybe when it's your neighbor's dog, but then it is still just an annoyance)

So please award the Ribbon to Daffyduct...almost sounds like Disneyland....which is close to me out here in Southern California....

I could not agree more. I have seen him before and had a generally good feeling about him, but he is very impressive. Kind of a Zell.

Why would Rangel introduce the bill, and then vote against it?

It was supposed to be a PR trick. Mostly, it backfired.

And a double star for Bahbah's comments:

******************************************************************

Duncan Hunter is great on Fox. Malinowski, the HR guy, is a smarmy nut case. He uses that soft, reasonable sounding NPR voice, but what he says is just plain wrong. I love Hunter's rundown of the menu. He points out that if we called Americans to prayer 5 times a day, the ACLU would be all over it.

And a Star for a good reply,.... debate form ...to Mo1

******************************************************

I would like to see President Bush give a nationwide speech, updating the War on Terror, its goals, the Iraq front, what lies ahead, our detention policy.

He does that .. he has been giving speeches about the WOT and different issues during the week .. for the last several weeks .. FNC has aired them

But I do recall the last national speech/press conference he gave .. ABC and others broke in with the news of Mark Felt

IF you can't see what the media is doing .. then I don' know what to say

And a Star for this comment by Justanobody:

*************************************************

GWB communicates with people IMHO ...

Thanks for your supports of our President snugs. Any plans to move to US?

IMHO, the only ones that complain about the way PRESIDENT Bush speaks are the high and mighty, holier than thou types, the likes of sKerry. That thing can carry on for an hour and not say one dam* thing of any consequence. OTH, "W" talks for 5 minutes and speaks volumes.

This does not even come close to reflecting the reality of the situation in Iraq. Major operations against terrorist ratlines are occuring every day. I think that the military is also building up a body of evidence linking the Syrian Government to what is going on and this war is about to move to the next level. I would not to be surprised to see some cross border skirimishes . . . soon. You should trust the media NOT IN THE LEAST to tell you the truth about the situation in Iraq. THEY DO NOT KNOW.
