You're right she is a commie and I stand corrected - started to type commie, don't know why I changed it.
Billy boy is now off my "protected" list. Mara sure made lemonade with the 2 conservatives fighting on either side of her. Kristol's dislike for Rummy is making him irrelevant. There was NO excuse for his performance.IMO
I loved watching Ari work the room!
I missed that first time around and don't think anyone on the thread caught it either.
Hagel probably hadn't focus polled the question on GITMO to the people back home already irritated by his less than passionate support of the administration in this WOT. Wasn't he the one that just recently said it would be a good thing if the U.S. wasn't a superpower? yeah, that had to have gone over like lead back home.
I had to see that twice to sort out better what was going on!!
Hagel said that....what a damn weasel!!!

A Republican congressman who voted for the Iraq war said Sunday that "we've done about as much as we can do" in the country and that the reason for invading Iraq has proven false.
Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina will be among the lawmakers introducing legislation this week calling for a timetable for the withdrawal of American troops in Iraq.
"When I look at the number of men and women who have been killed - it's almost 1,700 now, in addition to close to 12,000 have been severely wounded - and I just feel that the reason of going in for weapons of mass destruction, the ability of the Iraqis to make a nuclear weapon, that's all been proven that it was never there," Jones said on ABC's "This Week."
President Bush has said any timetable for withdrawal would encourage insurgents to wait for the foreign troops to leave, but Jones said he believed Iraqis can defend their own country.
His stance leaves Jones sided with Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts, the most prominent Democrat calling for a timetable to leave Iraq. Jones said he had not discussed the issue with Kennedy.
One of the talk shows a few Sundays ago, I believe it was him. Words to the effect.
If I had a moment I'd wade through the older talk show threads, it would be quoted in one of them.
I didn't watch the panel part of this mornings Fox Sunday show...
WOW--that is the best panel in a long time---and I think that Brit had been waiting for days to smack down Juan or even Mara, but I think even HE was surprised at how left that Kristol came off...
What has Kristol been, doing, joining Scientology, or some weird other cult....why did he act SO stupid today?
Well, he looked like a fence-sitting weenie today!
After today's performance, I think Bush ought to hire Brit to be his spokesman...
He could definitely slap down the White House Press Corps...
I have a serious question.
Just what war are we losing? Okay, we're losing polls. No surprise there. They are used as propaganda to slant the news where the MSM wishes it to go. Remember the election? Most of those polls were discredited when the only vaid poll election day shot them down.
If we ever hoped to be able to slience the MSM, well I suppose you could call that a lost war. They will keep making ears bleed in the mistaken belief they'll eventually wear people down. They attempted that with Reagan and it didn't work so well. Ditto the Pope. Same with Bush who just won re-election with the popular vote about 4 million over and 51% majority.
Are we losing in Iraq? According to our military we are not. The Iraqi Constitution is moving forward. Sunni's are slowly joining up. The people are starting to fight back against the terrorists. I would say momentum is on our side.
have we lost the American people? Well, if you believe polls than yes. So the next obvious question is, how is this being reflected in action? I don't see any Americans, other than the usual Leftists, marching the streets ready to overthrow the government. I don't see Americans condoning anything but absolute trust and respect for our military. I don't know anyone but the standard leftists that never wanted us there crying for us to come home.
Seems to me there is a disconnect between these "polls" and the MSM, and what the American people are doing. Which is electing pro-Defense politicians, defeating appeasers, buying yellow ribbons for their cars and finding any way they can to send money, supplies and encouragement overseas. That sounds like a people that continue to overwhelming support our troops and this war.
I refuse to grant the MEDIA the right to define whether this war is being lost by constructing a poll to suggest that result. When I see the American people in majority start registering discontent in concrete ways-
1) Support of troops monetarily dramatically crashes
2) Symbols fade from cars and homes
3) Regular ordinary Americans that don't march for a living hit the streets
4) pro-defense candidates lose
5) Pro-appeasement crowd win big at polls
etc. then I will start to believe there is some truth to this.
Kristol hates Rummy. That's why.
Frost was despicable--he is ssssssooooo bitter about the redistricting here in TExas, that cost him his congressional seat, and then, to make matters worse, HE LOST TO DEAN for DNC Chair.....LOL
%%%%%
Didn't he also run against Nancy Pelosi for Leader of the Dems in Congress? The man must be feeling both bitter and incompetent.
Saw the show.
General Bill was back on the show today. Why doesn't he just wear a dunce cap that says, "I hate Rummy because he wouldn't kiss McCain's butt.", and get it over with.
Hunter did a fabulous job. He need to hit the circuit far more often.
Good for Brit in dragging the General back to the actual topic.
Soul - your Post #554 is a keeper. Thank You!!
"Sure Juan is a Liberal but I once heard him say he takes the Liberal position on topics where he may disagree because his job on that show it to air those positions"
Surely you jest?
They need to do like Pres Regan did and take it directly to the people, not let the MSM filter and edit it to suit their philosophies

Please give me an idea or two how you see President Bush doing this. According to the schedule of events chronicled every day here on FR, he is one busy man. I have a feeling that a side-by-side comparison of his public events with the previous president's daily accomplishments would show that W is the busier and more productive president.
But since you obviously feel the lack of his communication, I really am wondering what suggestions you (and everyone) have.
Thanks in advance.
