New 'Sanhedrin' Calls For Architectural Blueprint To Rebuild Jewish Temple
The Israeli rabbinical council involved with re-establishing the Sanhedrin, is calling upon all groups involved in Temple Mount research to prepare detailed architectural plans for the reconstruction of the Jewish Holy Temple.
The Sanhedrin was a 71-man assembly of rabbis that convened adjacent to the Holy Temple before its destruction in 70 AD and outside Jerusalem until about 400 AD.
The move followed the election earlier this week of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz as temporary president of a group aspiring to become Judaism's highest-ranking legal-religious tribunal.
However, although Steinsaltz's involvement with the endeavor adds important rabbinic legitimacy, other major halachic authorities, including Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, the leading haredi Ashkenazi spiritual leader, and Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the premier Sephardi halachic opinion, have refused repeated requests to offer their support.
Nevertheless, the group will establish a forum of architects and engineers to begin plans for rebuilding the Temple a move fraught with religious and political volatility.
The group, which calls itself the Sanhedrin, is calling on the Jewish people to contribute toward the acquisition of materials for the purpose of rebuilding the Temple including the gathering and preparation of prefabricated, disassembled portions to be stored and ready for rapid assembly, "in the manner of King David."
Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the burgeoning Sanhedrin, said in an official statement that because of "concerns that external pressure would be brought to bear upon individuals not to take part in the establishment of a Sanhedrin, the names of most participants have been withheld up to this point."
"The increasingly anti-Jewish decisions handed down by the Supreme Court prove the need for an alternative legal system based on Jewish sources," said Weiss. "More and more people, including Torah scholars, are beginning to understand this."
The Sanhedrin was reestablished last October in Tiberias, the place of its last meeting 1,600 years ago. Since then, it has met in Jerusalem on a monthly basis.

Now a 2 minute wedding I can understand, but Communion works better served from a table.

And guess what ?
He just may be here right now, alive and breathing on Planet Earth doing his work.

Maimonides, Jeremiah, Ezekial and Aryeh Kaplan are good starting points for authorities on what will unfold in the Messianic Era.

The concept of the Antichrist is incorrect.

M.M.Schneerson was a great Jewish scholar. He did a lot of very good things. He was/is not however Moshiach.
To: Red Sea Swimmer
I didn't think he was either, but there are those who did.
Jesus encountered the same situation.
Schneerson was one of the finest teachers I've ever heard.

Moshiach also means Righteous Redeemer.
To redeem means to "Counterbalance". Moshiach and his mission counterbalances the evil forces on the planet, eventually nullifying all traces of evil on the Planet. The Redemption is a process that will take place over many years. It has started already. The building of the Third Temple/House for All Nations is a part of the Redemption process.

I wish a Jew would post his or her beliefs, as they pertain to the rebuilding and how that is perceived by Jews.
From discussions I've had with Jews on the subject, you can get hundreds of differing opinions. Most Jews I know are either conservative or reform, so they don't even care (from a religious point of view) if the temple was re-established. To them, the era of ritualistic sacrifice ended in 70 A.D. when the Roman Legions destroyed the 2nd temple.

I didn't think that you thought M.M.Schneerson was Moshiach. There are still a few deluded Lubavitchers out there that think he is/was Moshiach.

Visit Spain and Portugal and you'll see a lot of Mosques converted into Catholic Churches.... so ?
True. The architecture in Spain, particularly in Andalusia, is very beautiful and--of course--reminiscent of the Moors who controlled the area for 800+ years.

Were you guys all aware that Moslems still do the blood sacrifice?
Recalling that some of the prophecies are pretty general in their application, I'd think that would have to end too for us to know that we were in the Messianic period.

The exact process of how the Third Temple will be built will only be revealed during the Messianic Era. Some alive today have more pieces of the divine jigsaw puzzle, and know where they all fit.
For everything, there is a time and a place. We know the place where the Third Temple will be built. The time of the actual building will be revealed in the near future...

I had heard that some sects of Moslems still do that. I didn't know, however, whether they were considered to be in the "mainstream" of Moslem society.

The divine presence can exist in one part of the world at the same time that terrible acts of evil are taking place in other parts of the world. What will happen thought is that as a ripple on a lake spreads out wider and wider, the divine presence will be felt by more and more people as time goes by. Eventually all will be touched by this energy and humankind and Planet Earth will be transformed into a literal Ganeden.

ALL Moslems do the blood sacrifice. Not every Moslem does it every year.
Many Christians and Jews go out of their way to slaughter a lamb for Pasch.
We don't.

They are usually quite successful in converting your type.
Dark Skies- as you know, that will never happen, because you know that you know that you know!! It's something NO one can take from you - they can take your life BUT never your soul. Thanks be to God and the Redeeming Blood of His Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
