It is all very strange and sad if you start following the links. There are many young gals that are hooking up with these guys when they go to Aruba with their families. I bet the parents don't know about it.
We will see. I think that BOR misspoke and it was the second time this week that he did regarding this case. And that is due to the fact that he has not keep up with the facts and have not been interested in it.

It makes me wonder if Natalee had been chatting with Joran via the net prior to this trip. Her stepfather said that his son had gone to Aruba 2 years earlier.

But this kid was smooth and seasoned, can you imagine how many young ladies go through Aruba every year. (to a young lady he might be considered attractive, to me he looks Herman Monster). These boys all think they are studs by looking at the pictures of them on their sites and the crap the girls write to them on their sites)
There is no doubt that the kid was well know in Aruba, his father (soon to be Aruba judge), his mother (teacher at the International School in Aruba)
Plus he was able to get into the bars and casino when he was only 17 and not 18 years old. He had plenty of money to throw around and he probably is a drug dealer and the police looked the other way, due to who his father was.
All this looks bad for Aruba and it should, how the hell was this kid getting into bars and casinos, most everyone had to know who he was and I am sure he let people know who he was.
I remember being very naive when I was that young. There were a few times when I was really in dangerous situations but G-d kept me. She probably thought she was safe, these guys are young like me and harmless...... poor thing.

not necessarily. there were plenty of people who came forward and told the cops that these two guys always skullked around the pool at the hotel and the local bars and tried to pick up tourists. but they also could have been holding these guys to make the real perps think they were home free. you never know.
Another thing is Joran was in all his sites just one day before they arrested him, he was updating them. If they meet on the internet he would have linked to her like he did with his other friends if they had some type of online friendship before she went to Aruba.
I have a feeling I will not find anything but I would like to see if she had an ad online. (it is amazing and scary how many kids do this nowadays.)

After I got home and saw some of the ungodly mess that was on there, my child was forbidden to visit or join that site although there were also innocent wholesome members. There were/is also some porno, evil and corrupt members as well.
