when i was 17 i did stooopid things tooo, and regretted them... but i NEVER fooled myself into believing that I wasn't to blame for what happened. why is it that it's usually the kids whose parents think they can DO NO WRONG get in the most trouble??? i wonder if it's because they BELIEVE they can do no wrong too???

Where did you read this? I am curious because my wife and I have been to Aruba 4 times and have never encountered anything at all untoward. I love the place and would go back in a minute.

Blood found in avn Sloot's car, and a sample sent to US for possible DNA match with Natalee's mother's blood. From pictures on tv, the van Sloot 'boy' is tall and powerful. There were three 'boys' there that night. They should all be arrested and charged with murder.
I'm glad me or mine didn't and we're all alive to tell about it.
And yes! I do blame the murderer(s).

I've been to many of the resort areas in the Caribbean, Mexico and South America. From personal observation, I know that if you are old enough to put your money on the bar, you are old enough to drink. We took our 14 and 16 year old granddaughters to Puerto Vallarta with us several years ago.
They were both offered mixed drinks at various restaurants. We did allow the sixteen yr. old a pina colada, but not the 14 yr. old. They were and still are beautiful blue-eyed blondes. I cannot imagine them there without close supervision/protection. We are taking them again this winter (one just graduated from college, the other is now a junior at the U. of Wyo.) There is no way their parents would allow them to go alone. Call us old-fashioned, but that's just the way it is. Children look to us for, and need protection.
That said, the guilty one is the one who killed this beautiful child. Not the parents and not the chaperones.

If they had her body and there was any blood left, why would they have to send samples of the blood found in van der Sloot's car to the US for a match with Natalee's mother's blood? Why not just use Natalee's blood?
Do you even have the slightest clue as to what you are talking about? I have been there 4 times and it's a great place.
