So now they(Aruban authorities) are putting the pieces of the puzzle together? In reality, they are trying to cover their collusion of protecting big-whig(van der snot's) proverbial son+2.
I do not believe for one minute their was any pro-activity in this case. The concept of initially electronic monitioring and surveillance is a good Aruban (CYA) measure. I believe they thought this could be swept under the rug, or the two security guards would fit the rap.
I do not think they believed Mrs Holloway would demand the release of the two security guards. Possibily, they felt she would be so enraged, that her quest for finding the murderers would end with the two guards and hoodwinked justice.
Well the Aruban(Politicos&authorities) Plan A, did not pan out. Now they go to Plan B, with the time lapse 11+ too, many days before searching homes, all vehicles, and giving the three perps ample time to clean up the the majority of forensic evidence+craft a good story(lie)defense in this case.
I heard on either Fox or CNN that Natalee allegedly had three roommates? Where were they when Natalee failed to return to the motel? Why did they not report Natalee disappearance earlier? I wonder if they were possibly in an over-night with either some of the other students(males)or the male chaperones? Oh My God, mommy and daddy might find out.
There are so many unanswered questions as to why Natalee's "close friends" are so dumb founded as to looking out for one another prior to this ordeal. I think those close friend's know more than they are saying.
I believe if the allegation of Natalee's three roommates is true, they are trying to CTA(cover their asses) as to where they were during that evening of hard partying.
TexKat, this is one investigation I would love to have conducted, or have been on the investigative team. I am tired of this smoke screen/incompetence by the Aruban authorities in conducting this investigation. In America, the Kennedy's, Simpson's Blake's and other celebraties are above the law. Maybe this is synonomous with the Van Der Snot's&the two Surinanese brothers' in Aruba.
Maybe it's time to call our representatives in the house &senate. The state department needs to quit thumb sucking and turn up the heat on the Aruban Politicos.
What do you think would be happening if this were a family member of the kennedy's, or other senate/house members? I myself think we would see a picture perfect compliance in solving this case or it would have been solved day 1 or 2.

No problem about not pinging me - as the mother of a beautiful 19 year old Alabama girl - I'll find y'all wherever you go. I can't stop praying that she'll be found alive, possibly on another island. It is so hard to fathom that these young men were savvy enough to dispose of a body without leaving one fragment of forensic evidence.

It's my understanding Natalee camped out in different rooms. Being popular, she hung out with different groups, one group thinking she was with the other.
Sounds like a democrats victimology strategy. Unless the callers are using a pay phone or one of those disposable cell phones, they might be caught. I think the callers had best watch out for that high speed Aruban "eletronic surveillance/monitoring."

1. She was unintentionally killed when she wouldn't cooperate in whatever sexual act he wanted her to perform on him. Joran was drinking as well, so he basically didn't know his own strength.
2. She was given or took a overdose of drugs or had a lethal reaction from the combination of booze and drugs. She could have gone into a coma, aspirated or her heart stopped. Joran panicked and got rid of her.
I don't think Joran meant for her to die. In his mind, Natalee was just another conquest for this island "play boy.

I've wondered the same thing and as I posted earleir all I come up with is that she rebuffed him and threatened to go to the cops, or they struggled and he ended up with his hand over her mouth and nose and suffocated her, by accident or intentional. Or she tried to run away from him and tripped and fell and hit her head.

Rippersnapper and Spectre's wife, you both suggest a possible accident may have occurred. If that was the case and this boy had just fessed up at the beginning, there may have been a chance he could have escaped any severe punishment. But by hiding the facts about her death, changing stories, and implicating others, his chances of a lenient resolution are rapidly diminishing.
