Reno cited in fender bender
Former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno was cited for causing a fender bender Friday afternoon in Marathon.
Reno, 66, of Miami, was driving a 1999 Ford pickup south on U.S. 1 just north of 109th Street when she apparently failed to stop and struck the rear-end of a 1999 Ford Explorer driven by Kenneth John Michels, 52, of Key Colony Beach, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report by Cpl. C. Scott. Michels had stopped for the red traffic light, according to the report.
Michels was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. in front of the Office Depot complex.
The front bumper of Reno's truck was lying in the roadway after the crash. The truck was towed away from the scene by Florida Keys Towing.
Monroe County Sheriff's Capt. Bob Peryam drove Reno to Key West as a courtesy, Sheriff's Office spokesman Greg Artman said.
Reno was cited on a charge of careless driving.
Yup forgot it wasn't Reno, Would still like to blame her tough.
As noted would still like to blame HER. Got to quit posting before coffee. Off to to my local non-Starbucks Kiosk for a much better cup!

Nope!!! and it doesn't matter if you drink it or she does..ain't that much whiskey in the whole wide world.
p.s. A gynecologist with Parkinson's can name his price and get it!!! (i know that's really tacky, but still funny)

I was in Key West this past December and it looked to me like Gay Pride Week was a 24/7 kind of thing.
Electric cars are girly
I hope he had a "Kerry/Edwards" or "Gore/Lieberman" bumper sticker on his Explorer.
That would be icing on the cake. Better yet, let's see photos of the bumper she left at the scene. LOL.
Only if you, rather than her, are the one who drinks it. OTOH, she probably wouldn't leave you enough for that.
Vicki Weaver was shot by FBI agent Lon Horiuchi during the first Bush administration. Most of the planning, such as it was, for the Waco raid by the BATF on the Davidian "compound" was done during that administration as well. Do I blame Bush I for that? No, no President can see that all that deep into agencies such as the BATF, FBI, CIA, DoS, etc, although there should have been BATF and FBI heads roll after Ruby Ridge. I do blame Bush for the fact that they didn't.
However Jane Reno was "in the loop" after the BATF raid at Waco went bad (really bad) and the FBI came in to clean up BATF's mess...again, so she and her boss Slick do bear some responsibility for that one.
That would have scared the crap out of me, watching Janet Reno emerge from a pickup truck. I doubt he'll ever drive again.

Bwaha. I was thinking the same thing. What a horror. Time for some post traumatic stress counseling after that. Ew.

--You double posted!! I guess just reading the article scared you enough to double post! Poor guy
Too many adult beverages on Friday night!
Sober now! I believe Agent Horiuchi was in one of the tanks at Waco also. There used to be a web site in the Bahamas that offered $20k for whomever killed him. I just Goggled and nothing now. His last known whereabouts were the Chicago Field Office of the FBI, I believe. He is probably retired now.
If Parkinson's is interfering with Reno's ability to drive, her family members should discuss it with her. If that doesn't work, they could ask the doctor to talk to her about it.
Living with Parkinson's is a daily struggle because it can affect your balance. Simply trying to back up while you're at the refrigerator can make you fall. If you're walking in a straight line, and try to turn to the left, you might fall also. Sometimes your feet will freeze if you're standing at the kitchen sink, and you won't be able to move for a minute.
