WASHINGTON STATE DEMOCRATS AGREE TO RECORD FINE

FOR CAMPAIGN VIOLATIONS

Olympia – The Public Disclosure Commission yesterday accepted two stipulated agreements from the Washington State Democrat Party who agreed to pay $187,500 in civil penalties for campaign finance violations.

The WSDCC agreed to pay $85,000 for failure to timely disclose the source of $394,544 worth of contributions and for failure to disclose $704,815 in debts and obligations during the 2004 election.

In a separate agreement, a $100,000 suspended civil penalty from 2002 was reinstated. WSDCC was penalized $250,000 in 2002 for failing to timely disclose the source of nearly $6 million in contributions. $100,000 was suspended conditioned on the party’s future compliance with the Public Disclosure law.

Commission chairman Mike Connelly said this is a serious penalty for a serious offense.

“Political parties need to be leaders in state politics,” Connelly said. “And the Washington State Democrats are not setting a good example.”

The Commission also voiced dismay over the WSDCC’s second major violation in just two years and stated that the party loses credibility each time it appears before the PDC.

WSDCC also agreed to pay $2,500 for the PDC’s investigation costs and attorney fees.

A small price to pay for stealing an election,
and if ever there was a stolen one this is it.

I agree. They got every penny back five minutes into their illegal tax raising frenzy, once their coup d'etat succeeded.

Just the cost of doing business.

It doesn't really do alot of good if the Democrats that benefitted from this fraud still continue to hold their elected office.

Even setting aside the fraudulent election results, it looks as though they got their money's worth!

Why don't they have to refund the questionable $7 mill+? I would pay 187K for 7 mill any day!!

Well.....it does not say they were ILLEGAL contributions, only that they did NOT provide the "SOURCE" in a timely manner....at least that's what I think it says.

In the Economics literature, this is called a "rent-seeking expenditure." In order to obtain significant political rents (subsidies, wealth transfers, welfare, or corporate welfare) a small expenditure is usually necessary, either in the form of campaign contributions, or payment of fines of this trivial kind.

Rational political agents, the literature says, "do the math," make these simple cost-benefit calculations, and act accordingly.

It's also highly inefficient for the consumer-sovereignty based (Market) economy.

And, immoral.

THIS IS TOTALLY BEYOND THE PALE!!!!!!!!! I live in this state, and only here where the DIMS live and breath, and we have two, count em, two dimwit koolaid clinton drinkers for senators, could this happen. IT IS A VERY VERY SMALL PRICE TO PAY to win an election! The only thing I can say is....bring in the press, any press, and lets tell America what the Democrat Party in Washington State is all about!! Talk about outrage....I AM OUTRAGED!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR If Rossi doesn't go to the Supreme Court of Washington State, where he will fail, and onto the Supreme Court of the United States, as he should, it would be amazing. I doubt he will.

It also guarentees that there will never be anything even close to an honest election there, again.

Does this cash go to the judge who whitewashed all the felon votes, misreported votes, etc. so that the crooked Rat woman could keep the governorship?

Yeah.

MSM harped on the Ohio vote for about one month, along with supposed problems elsewhere. But for some reason not one of the MSM covered this Washington state situation.

Here in Tennesse the DNC chairmen of the two largest counties both have resigned within the past month because of allegations of criminal activity. The first, chairman of the Davidson County (Nashville) DNC resigned after being charged with child pornography. The second, chairman of the Shelby County (Memphis) DNC and also a state senator, resigned after being charged for taking bribes.

The DNC IS an organized criminal activity.
