“Chief Justice Rehnquist has said: ‘It is impossible to build sound constitutional doctrine upon a mistaken understanding of constitutional history, but unfortunately the Establishment Clause has been expressly freighted with Jefferson’s misleading metaphor for nearly 40 years.’”

Jefferson was actually paraphrasing Roger Williams.

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew5:10

That's a keeper.

Aren't the Muslims given special prayer rooms at their public schools in MI? Don't they have special arrangements for fasting during Ramadan? So why can't Christians in LA pray?

Even my Moveon.org liberal uncle calls this scary. I think the ACLU is about to hurt themselves.

Guantanamo would be acceptable for Christians, not terrorists.

I'm still waiting for them to file suit against the Military for providing taxpayer funded Korans to the terrorists at Gitmo.

In California (at least in the Sacramento area) junior high students are taught the 10 Pillars of Islam and are required to dress in Muslim attire for a day.

I really wish they would. I live here, this has been ongoing for about 7 years. Everytime someone says a prayer, holds an off campus meeting, brings a bible to school, the ACLU come swooping down.

The first time they attacked an organization that held vonluntary lunch meetings in a church that is just feet from the local high school. He was giving away free pizza. It was totally volutary for kids to attend. My Step-father successfully defended the organization against Joe Cook, our Louisiana State ACLU head. I could post his comments about him, but that might not be wise.

This was the high school my kids attended at the time.

Any "parent" that allows that, is brain dead. That should have been a HUGE clue, to get out of public schools NOW!

I was thinking the same thing. Let them keep doing what they do until "the people" get fed up. That is when action happens. IMO

One more thing...I know all the Judges here in this little district. I would be very surprised if any of them would agree to incarcerating anyone.

What Joe Cook isn't counting on is, they have to be re-elected soon. They aren't going to want to jail anyone on that fact if none other.

Here's my suggestion

If you live in any of these liberal states, are conservative in politics, but are supportive of legalized gambling, and have the wherewithall to do something beneficial to the economy.

Please come to Mobile, Alabama, we have a great Mardi Gras, we're not liberal, a wonderful climate, and a really low cost of living. For what you have to pay to live middle class in Cali, you can live like a king here.

Aren't the Muslims given special prayer rooms at their public schools in MI? Don't they have special arrangements for fasting during Ramadan? So why can't Christians in LA pray?

Easy answer: The ACLU is not interested in the so-called separation of church and state. They are anti-Christian, anti-Catholic.

They will fight for the right of muslims, buddhists, satanists, etc., to pray or worship in school, colleges, universities, but Christians? NO WAY!

If they went after every religion equally, they might (and I emphasize MIGHT) have a little more credibility.

The ACLU is anti-American, anti-White, anti-Christian, anti-business, anti-state's rights, anti-military, anti-law enforcement. They are pro terrorist, pro marxist, pro deviants, pro illegal drugs, pro anarchy.

Unfortunately I believe it will take quite a few more years before the general public rises up against them.

The first thing that should be done is to cut off their public funds!

Freedom OF religion.. hmm..
I assume they only want christians to go to jail for praying?
I hope the aclu is shut down and soon, do are doing everything to destroy all that is good and right in this country.
