The RNC always does that to me. I just laugh and tell them there is no way I can give them that kind of $$$. Occasionally I'll settle on $50 with them, but not with my credit card. I make them send me the confirmation letter and envelope and then I send a check.
Be careful if they are calling you. At one point last year - just before the election - they were calling frequently and I was also receiving their mail and e-mails. I got confused and gave them much more $$$ than I intended! Keep good records.

We had a heck of a storm last night where I am too, Bahbah. I love storms, as long as I'm in and safe.

That is a great idea about giving that to her also it was a lovely quote from the VP today I can just imagine his voice saying the words.

I can just imagine his voice saying the words. So can I. I could just hear him saying it in my head when I was reading it. Someone else at the top of the thread said they would miss him when he is no longer in the government. So will I.
Anyone hear about Sensenbrenner cutting off the Patriot Act hearings today because the Democrats and Amnesty Intl and Gerrold Nadler were making a shambles of it? Anti-American treasonous idiots, all of them. I say good for Sensenbrenner.

Huh. I've always been contacted by mail. Guess it would be because I never give out my private number, even to the RNC. Just friends and family have it.
It's suspicious that they ask you on the phone for your credit card #. Do you know about the do not call number for cell phones? Can give it to you, if you want.

Yikes!!! Well, I really do not plan to give any more for various reasons, so they are just going to have to stop.

Hey, Tony Snow is subbing for Bill O'Reilly tonight on Fox. He looks and sounds good. I usually don't watch, as I'm not a big O'Reilly fan.

I love stormsMe too, Justa, but holey moley, this was like being in Iraq with incoming. I drove home in a hail storm and it was downhill from there. Two of my girls who share a house still don't have electricity. It was a major boomer and I even ducked a couple of times the cracks were so loud.

I agree that is bad manners. I do not care whether it is a political organization or companies advertising to use someone's name in the body of a letter is not correct. I suppose that use it as a hard sell thinking that it personalizes the letter more but for me it makes it seem even more a standard unsolicited letter.

It certainly is rude. The modern word processor gives them the ability to repeat a name in the body of the letter and they think they are clever doing it, but they must not have any class to think it would be effective.
