I love the 747. It has to be my all time favorite beautiful passenger plane, although the DC-3 was beautiful, as was the Constellation. I also think, for classic design the 727 was nice. The Concord goes without saying.

It's amazing how many 727s are still in use. That fact alone indicates that the design was a good one.

Yes... I am a big fan of the 747 and I hope Boeing will launch the 747 Advanced soon.
Have you seen the conceptual artist pictures of the 747 Advanced in Boeing's colors ? what a beauty.
But, just as impressive is the 777 ( actually ? only slightly smaller that the 747 without the Iconic 747 Hump )...
The Lockheed Constellation is a legend in it's beauty.. I don't need to say anymore on that... it holds it's own against other plane designs.
Another beauty is the DC-9 .....
But, the 747 is in a class all by it's self.

Well, I'll certainly agree with a lot of your choices, but not in your order (different strokes for different folks). In my opinion - for purely beautiful lines - the all-time sexiest airliner is the Lockheed Constellation. They even sound wonderful with those four big radial engines!
