Well, to be fair, nobody hardly even remembers the Keating Five Scandal, either. Nobody ever seems to ask him about the failure that Campaign Finance Reform was, for that matter.

McCain has always been an egomaniac and a drama queen. I rather think that if it weren't for the Hanoi Hilton bit, the people of Arizona would toss him out on his ear.

Most of us who flew have an innate respect for the suffering and hardship experienced by prisoners, particularly pilots and air crews of those times who risked it all on each sortie.

With that in mind, it is difficult, at least for me, to criticize his ongoing political performance even though I recognize its total self orientation.

With the foregoing in mind, I prefer to think of Senator McCain as one who by his actions is simply insane.....a loose and dangerous canon ramming back and forth across our American decks.
