Wade's Wish: Boston Globe Managing Editor Mary Jane Wilkinson, explaining why her paper is not going to make public the Kerry military records it has received:
It is my understanding that Kerry will release these papers to anyone else now that he has signed the Form 180.
Wilkinson's understanding would be wrong, according to the New York Sun's Josh Gerstein, to whom Kerry denied the records.
A Navy spokesman, Lieutenant Commander Daniel Hernandez, said the waiver applied only to the Boston Globe and did not authorize release of Mr. Kerry's records to the public.
"Kerry controls the release of his records," Commander Hernandez said yesterday. "You have to talk to his office."
The senator also agreed to allow the Los Angeles Times to see his full record, Mr. Wade said yesterday. The spokesman did not respond to a question about why Mr. Kerry did not execute a broader release to all press organizations and the public. Asked whether the senator would permit release of the records to The New York Sun, Mr. Wade said, "The issue is over."
Not while Gerstein and Lipscomb are alive! ... Why would Kerry not just make a clean release to everyone? I suppose he might not want his enemies poring over the documents for discrepancies they can use to keep the story alive. But that consideration would seem to be outweighed by the suspicions the limited release creates. ... At the very least, as Lipscomb notes, Kerry should make public the Form 180 that fails to make public his records. ... P.S.: Like Wade, I would like this to be over! (I would like Kerry to be over.) But it still smells a bit funny. A lot of clever thinking seems to have gone into that Form 180 signing.

Ah, but now there's the angle about the papers. What did these journos know and when did they know it?
And why did they spike it?
This could make what Newsweek did look like a tempest in a teacup...
Paging their parent company's shareholders....
What's truly amazing is that Kerry and the MSM actually think they can get away with this. Shows you they learned nothing from Rathergate..They don't understand how their world has changed..
i am sure if we were to look at his records we would find out he was dishonorably discharged.
Kerry does a 180 on his 180.
frenchie, living in the past, still thinks the ratmedia runs the new cycle in this country. He still believes he can open his mouth, have essentially nothing come out, and have the ratmedia clean it up. Remember when clinocchio used to claim he got "news" about him in the newspapers? He wasn't lying for a change. What he was really saying was "I don't know what lies they cooked up FOR me, I'll have to check." Foolish frenchie!:it's over and you and the ratmedia lost.
"This is getting old already. Who cares? Kerry is gone, never to return. He made such an ass of himself in the last election the Dems would never put him up again. Just like Gore, he is done.
People care. I care. We almost had a President who could very well have been a Manchurian candidate. If you want to be a public figure you have to give everything asked of you.
Hiding his 180, Terayzahhs financials and who knows what else is a direct affront to the American people. Especially since it was these people that tried to bury a sitting President based on false documents and a missed dental appointment 29 years ago.

I agree with you. Many say Hillary is too left or too polarizing to go anywhere in 08. But unlike the vast majority of the visible Dems (Dean, Moore, Striesand, Boxer...) who are just raving lunatics, you have to give Hillary credit for being smart. She gets the picture and is already shifting to the right. Us hard rights recognize her for the huge phoney she is, but there are a zillion independants and moderates out there, who aren't paying quite as close attention, that are going to be fooled by it.
She is definately going to be a factor in 08, I fear.
I signed the Form 180 before I didn't sign it.....

I released my Navy documents before I didn't release my Navy documents.....

"This is getting old already"
Actually, it is important to demonstrate to the Dems who voted for Kerry just how far they were willing to go to destroy the nation with this boob.
I agree. And the media angle, all the news that's fit to spike, is equally important.
This is the equivalent of GWB releasing his Air National Guard records to "The National Review." The rest of the Media wouldn't stand for this, and neither should we.
As others have observed, the Boston Globe is 'invested' in John Kerry. Kerry is hoping this cute little maneuver will bury the story so that he can shuck & jive through another election cycle. I don't think that it will work...even if he weren't competing with Queen Hillary.
" I signed the Form 180 before I didn't sign it."
Just imagine if the story gets out on how the DNC/MSM almost propped a dishonorably discharged individual into the Presidency. It will be the end for them.

True. It was the Bush TANG story that was getting old, at least until CBS started fabricating "fake but accurate" documents!
An honest comparison of the zeal with which the MSM went after Bush for this TANG service, and the comparative spiking of the Kerry/Swiftboat story is the most perfectly illustrative example of the liberal bias of MSM.
Bernie Goldberg should be all over this! It writes itself! He predicted it!
Your correct, fence leaners and those millions that just don't care, will not make up their minds until 1-2 weeks before the election.
Hillary is a very dangerous woman.
Shhhhhhh. If she wins, China almost immediately goes after Taiwan.
