Stand Up For Our President Against the Radical Left’s Attacks

THE ISSUE...

The Radical Left – led by MoveOn.org, Michael Moore and others – are continuing the outrageous attacks on President Bush. In fact, many are starting to beat the drum for impeachment! Meanwhile, the mainstream media is already proclaiming President Bush a “lame duck.” We expect a full assault on this Presidency in the coming weeks.

But these attacks aren’t just about defeating our President. These radical attacks are damaging to our brave fighting forces and in a real way put our troops who are fighting for our freedoms at even greater risk.

Immediate Action: SIGN OUR SUPPORT THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF PETITION.

Grassfire is hoping to rally 500,000 freedom-loving citizens who stand together against radical, anti-war attacks against our President and his ongoing efforts to rid the world of terrorist threats.

Petition Signers to date: 402,710

As with just about everything, the liberals make it up as they go. Comment #7 lists some things they'll probably try to use.

Impeachment is a standard Democrat tactic. They used it to get Nixon to resign and they tried to use it agaist Reagan. I don't doubt that had Bush '41 been reelected, they would have gone after him over Iran-contra or some other phony scandal.

They will call for Bush's removal on the grounds that Bush deliberately mislead the people in leading us to war in Iraq.

An amazing thing you say here, that I'm not sure we all realize, although its always right in front of us. All these guys know is attack. It might help to understand this a little more as strategies are developed to win back our institutions.

Doesn't it take a 2/3 vote just to start procedings for impeachment?

No, it only takes a simple majority in the House to impeach a President. However, it takes a 2/3 majority in the Senate to convict him of the charges in the impeachment articles and remove him from office.

Then I think that any congessman who had the same information as Bush and voted to go into Iraq should also be impeached. That would be most of both parties. If you voted to pull out of Iraq today even most would vote no. Of course they would lie first.

I'm probably not choosing my words very accurately; it occurred to me that the House conduct of the prosecution may be procedural, and arbitrary so far as regards the Constitution. But in any case, as a practical matter I cannot imagine that the Senate would ignore a House move to impeach, and even if they did I would think that the House would ask the Supreme Court to order the proceedings.

I think this is all silly anyhow. GWB is not gonna be impeached. Any scenario in which he were impeached would no doubt result in a Senate trial even if the GOP has control.

June 16th should be a fun news day.

The 16th is a Thursday, when most normal people are at work. I guess they have nothing better to do like, say, PAY THE MORTGAGE! Or maybe start saving for your DAUGHTER'S COLLEGE! Perhaps showering, shaving, and grooming yourself so you can FIND A REAL JOB!

"It might help to understand this a little more as strategies are developed to win back our institutions."

It would help greatly.

What should we do? We should copy their tactics. We should put them on the offensive by using strong language to describe what it is they're trying to do.

All we need is the courage to say what we believe forcefully.

Not sure what the purpose of your comment is.

We're not allowed to set the VCR up to tape the HOR proceedings on C-SPAM or what?

BTW, I have a "real job" thank you very much. 'Pod.

The Dems want to use the already disproven memo that supposedly shows that Bush intentionally faked intelligence info to start the war in Iraq.

This is just further evidence that the attack on GW back durring the election by CBS was a Democrat scheme - and they are dumb enough to try it again.

And don't forget the liberal street, which I compare very much with the Arab Street

Excellent observation! Don't doubt for a second that the hate-filled hardcore leftists would turn to violence and terrorism just like the Islamo-fascists if the demagogues who make up their "leadership" sufficiently egged them on--remember the WTO riots in Seattle and the disgraceful behavior by the "protesters" at last years RNC convention in New York. Indeed, I think the only thing restraining them now is the incipient cowardice which is the trademark of nearly every sissified liberal I've ever run across. Their femi-Nazi womyn have made puling cowards out of most of their male brethren.

There is going to be a rally in D.C. by the Anti-American group called Progressive Democrats of America.

Not you, 'Pod! I was referring to the losers who will be at the rally on the 16th,(a Thursday) when most of us have jobs. Sorry, I meant to reply to areafiftyone, I know you guys aren't slackers!

Don't they have an original bone in their body?

Or, is it just Monkee-see Monkee-do for the Demo-rats?

And even then, I doubt the Dems would pursue such a craven, unjustifiable course.

As I understand it the House must pass a resolution to authorize a committee (The Committee on the Judiciary?) "to investigate fully and completely whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its constitutional power to impeach the president."

I am sure they cannot get the votes but if they did, fine.

Just make sure that all who testify are under oath and are vigorously prosecuted for lying.

We will see the jailing (if the Republicans don't fall over like Tennessee fainting goats, as usual) of all who accuse by lying. Lies are pretty much all they have.

I think that even if the democrats were in control of both houses they would find the votes needed would be elusive. There are still enough rational democrats to make it an impossiblity.

If the Dems have ANY chnace to impeach Bush, they will.

They are repeating the "Nixon scenario". And there are enough Judases on the Republican left to help them - I needn't srepeat names.

The left hates Bush because he beat them. They're SORE losers. Not ONCE, but TWICE, he beat the lying s.o.b.s.

Now they are trying to flush him out of offfice at any expense.

There is no limit to the prevarication, viciousness, arrogance, dupicity and evil of the Democrat Party.
