I've been to the one that was raided in Cadillac, MI many times. The people that work there always have their little kids with them, babies and all. It used to be back in the day that Chinese restaurants were hard to find (in northern Michigan anyway). Now in Cadillac, a relatively small town, there are at least four. We'll see if they shut this one down.

This Asian restaurant scam has been going on for thirty years at least. The entire Asian economy in the U.S. is "cash only" and off the books. The feds will either have to investigate every community in America with a significant Asian population, or just give up and walk away.

The Feds ought to place San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York on high priority. Raid every Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Korean eatery in those cities. I personally talked with a Vietnamese owner of a tiny restaurant who had paid over $ 20,000 for two relatives. The bribes were paid under the table to the government of Vietnam. Now both people are working in the U.S. My contact did not say if they were here legally or illegally.

Asians do things their way even though they live in the U.S.

Where is Michael Moore to protect the workers? He lives 20 miles south of there on Torch Lake.

JMHO:

Many commentators (Rush, etc.) have at one time or another used the recent Chinese immigrants as an example of "The American Success Story" and how within a generation they move into the middle- or upper-class. THIS is how they manage it: They cheat and use Slaves.

If the President's "guest-worker" plan were implemented, this activity would have then been deemed just fine. The workers would still have been enslaved to the owner just the same - or risk deportation at the owner's discretion.
