A fictional crime drama based on the premise that the Bush administration ordered the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Washington aired this week on German state television, prompting the Green Party chairman to call for an investigation. A big difference is that all of the things you described in America were privately produced, while this german video excrement is funded and produced by the government.
The Germans showed live coverage of the assualt team on the roof of the dorms and Black September had the tv on.

The sad fact of life is that the left wing kook konspiracy documentaries are going to be what is studied in the future. The tiny amount of accurate documentaries will either be ignored or just excluded as too right wing.
I grant you that as a society the United States tolerates lots of crap in the culture - especially on the airwaves. However this is different in 2 ways - it's govt. funded (Germans Have to Pay for it thru taxes) and it (granted fictionally) promotes twisted lies about one of the worst days in United States history.
i'm very selective about what I spend money on. i think that's a part of citizenship.
WW I and WW II has effectivly clensed their gene pool of anyone with a spine.
Sometimes I think we should feel lucky there are not more conspiracy theories out there. It takes far less talent to make up a conspiracy theory than it does to write a short novel.

If you're watching the Germans...you've got your eyes on the wrong folks.
why are we picking on the Germans? In the US last year there was a feature-length documentary saying basically the same thing which showed in theaters across the country (courtesy of M. Moore)
That was criticized here too - lots - and in other places. This is Government funded.
A better question is why should we not bring attention to this show they made. Why are they immunized from criticism?
