Tonk, charge your weapons; Gunny, time to refinance the SBVT.
I can laugh at fish stories; I can tolerate a little fibbing but I can't stand a g**damn liar!
"I'm proud of my record in Vietnam, and honored to have served my country. I am also proud of the fact that my campaign provided unprecedented access to my military and military medical records both during my campaign and now months after it has ended," the senator said. "The facts still speak for themselves and as these records prove, once again the right wing is wrong."
One has to wonder what the "highly intelligent" Kerry's definition of "unprecedented" is. The "access" to his file is only unprecedented in its incompleteness, direction to specific and friendly papers, and refusal to even throw this bone until well after the election. McCain and Dole released all of theirs, apparently having nothing to hide. When you come down to it, the release of President Bush's files makes Kerry's "release" look positively deceptive, particularly when you recall how Kerry chided Bush on his TANG records etc., etc.
"Mr. Kerry told the Globe that he delayed signing the release because he was reluctant to placate his political opponents. "I felt strongly that we shouldn't kowtow to them and their attempts to drag their lies out," he said."
How would releasing documents that would presumably silence their "lies" be kowtowing to them?
"It was a despicable thing," the coordinator of veterans' outreach on Mr. Kerry's campaign, John Hurley, said in an interview yesterday. He called the attacks "specious and dishonest."
Let's see, the only proven liar in this whole debacle is Kerry. The only one hiding any records is Kerry. The only person with anything to gain by the witholding of the documents is Kerry.
Do you see a trend here?
"John Kerry's service was unquestioned by any person of any integrity whatsoever," Mr. Hurley said."
The facts of the case do not support you, Mr. Hurley. Maybe it is you and Kerry that lack any integrity whatsoever.
"However, Mr. Kerry has not given the military permission to disclose the records to the general public, fueling continued speculation by the senator's critics that he is attempting to hush up some aspect of his service."
Gee. Ya THINK? What an @ss. He needs to be ousted from the Senate (MA Freepers, get on that!) and punished by being handcuffed to Teh-Raaah-Zaaa for the remainder of their natural born lives.
