Just can't be correct. Something lost in translation? Niagra Falls doesn't dump that much water!

First snow in Somalia and now this. Next thing you know we will have rain in Northern California in mid June. Wait it is raining in Lodi California right now. Must be global warming. Just no other explanation. I am becoming a blabbering liberal. Not!!!!

13+ inches an hour for 9 hours?
Short of the 40 day flood, is that even feasible?
Stunned.

In June 2001 in Pasadena TX we got 25" of rain in 8 hours. It can happen.

I hope thats a typo. It makes more sense that 11.811 inches fell. If 13" per hour fell there would be massive floods as the ground couldn't soak it up fast enough. And actually being able to breath while outside would be a chore. Rain that hard can drown a person before they knew what was happening.

I call BS also! If this were true, every media site would be balbbering non-stop about it. This would make the Tsunami at Christmas small potatoes in comparison if it were true.

Looks like the record rainfall in the USA is 43 inches in 24 hours, from Houston, TX.

Here in the Florida Keys we had 23.55 inches in a 12 hour period in October 1981.

Can't imagine this report from China is true.

I don't believe it.

China is metric. Problem in translation of the conversion of metric to SAE and then into English copy?

Hmmm. This Honolulu TV station repeats the 10-foot number without comment, while China Daily says it was only 500mm.
