Allen is rapidly positioning himself as THE GOP candidate for 2008.As much as I like George Allen, I think it's people on FR who are rapidly promoting him for 2008. :-)

Seems that Allen is the majority choice here. We should start up a Nationwide draft Allen/Rice in 08 movement. Show the US the difference between what we are bringing to the table and the Dems with "the one whose name shall not be mentioned"

It is way, way too early to speak of 2008 candidates.
There is oodles of business that has to be addressed between now and then, and only after we see how that has gone will we be able to make an informed decision as to the best person for president.
One thing is certain, though: there is a far greater number of viable choices for the Republicans than for the Demodogs.
