As I said that day, they got to look "good" for a short period of time, now the base is becoming livid.
It was clearly a cave by the Rats but we didn't get to dance on the Rat grave that day, in some ways it is sweeter to make them lose without having to change the rules (yet).

I certainly understand the desire to dance on the Dims grave, but you are right in maybe ways this is sweeter as drip drip drip day by day they get to see these judges confirmed and the MSM can not preempt the coverage with story after story of the cheating GOP changing the rules.
I'm still mad about the deal. As long as Frist keeps feeding the Donks judges and forces the donks hand then thinks will work out, but the donk base will force the donk seven to bolt for anyone who bush nominates to the SCOTUS. Make no mistake, the donks base will not abide by any judges not convered in the agreement and will FORCE their senators to filibuster. Look at what they did to bolton.

We get some excellent judges approved. They get to make a lot of noise while backing down. We win on substance and with the approval of excellent judges.

If they do, we will still vote to change the rules. Graham, Dewine and Warner have all indicated that they will take away the filibuster if they use it.

The key summation of this is that the Rats won the right to keep filibustering as long as they don't filibuster.
Should I worry these 6th circuit judges are not conservative enough? They are getting way to many Dim votes for my tastes. Or was it the Dim were hunting woman, black women and Roman Catholic conservative nominees?
