Democrats blocked Griffin and McKeague at the request of Michigan's two Democratic senators, Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow -- who argued Republicans blocked the nominations of President Clinton's nominees to the 6th Circuit Court.
But they agreed not to hold up the nominations anymore as part of the discussion over the use of judicial filibusters.

Stabenow D up supporting a judge Griffin, and judge McKeague! The hell she is. She blue slipped those two for years.
She's only doing this now since she's feeling the heat for not confirming judicial vacancies here in Michigan.

Stabenow: "We shouldn't be a rubber stamp" ... "I ask all my colleagues to vote for these two nominees"
Levin: "Me Too!"
(quotes are not actual quotes)
213 Bushs nominees will have been confirmed (he says out of 218, which is a lie). Bush is still behind Clinton's record up to this point, even though Clinton had a republican-controlled senate longer than Bush had a democrat-controlled senate.
Levin is now talking about his relative who wasn't confirmed.

Earth to Lenin: Clinton is no longer prez.

Yeah, but Levin's explaining why he has a right to complain. I knew he had a grudge about a judge being held up, but I don't know the whole story.

Senate Minority leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) (R) gestures as Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean (L) looks on during a meeting on Capitol Hill June 9, 2005. Dean said that the recent controversy over his comments is not going to stop congressional Democrats from focusing on issues like social security, gas prices and the war in Iraq.

I think she's scared. She barely won re-election. My cousin, who is a die hard dem, works for her, is quitting and coming home. We figure it's because the Dems are out of power and it's no fun anymore, but I think that he figures she'll get beat also. She is just looking out for her rear.

I don't think Frist votes unless needed.
