Weather channel has just announced that Tropical Depression One will be classified as Arlene shortly - 40 knot winds reported by ship in the Caribbean.
Early forecasts place it between the Florida panhandle and mouth of the Mississippi in about 3 days.

Sounds like the Weather channel desperately sexing up the storm.
It's still just a thunderstorm. I remember when we didn't bother to look at the tropical weather reports until late August and were done by September. That was before someone noted that in the last 1,000 years there once was a hurricane in June, we then had to go to a six month season. So now half the year is hurricane season -- sure.

Maybe because until I posted the 6:50 update the title just had Tropical Depression, the title change by the mod probably happened around the time you were posting.
No big deal, I can keep several tabs open and multi-thread! LOL
