Police investigate Michigan sighting of missing prosecutor By GENARO C. ARMAS The Associated Press

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Police searching for a missing district attorney said Wednesday that they have received their best lead in nearly two months after he was reportedly sighted in Michigan.

A man and his daughter reported seeing Centre County prosecutor Ray F. Gricar with an older woman at a restaurant on May 27 in Southfield, Mich., a Detroit suburb, Bellefonte Police Officer Darrel Zaccagni said Wednesday.

Gricar, 59, has been missing since April 15, after taking a drive from his home in Bellefonte. His car was found the next day near an antique store he frequented in Lewisburg, about 45 miles from Bellefonte.

This is a follow-up to one really bizarre story. Centre County is where Penn State is located, in the middle of Pennsylvania (obviously - - hence the name "Centre County").

Well, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I remember there were sightings of Lacey Peterson too, long after she's been dead at the bottom of the bay.

This is a strange case. It sounds like he's alive and wanted to disappear.

The restaurant where he was sighted is, what, minutes from Canada?

I saw this on the local news and laughed out loud.

If this is true, obviously, they can't find him because he doesn't want to be found.

If the sighting is Gricar, any theories on who the 70-ish woman might be that he was with in the restaurant?

It is odd that the police only reported yesterday that there was a sighting on May 27th.

why odd?.....they wanted to get their ducks in a row before the guy took off again from all the media hype....sadly, they apparently didn't have their ducks or anybody's in a row....

A man has a right to disappear, but, if he's alive, he's clearly lost all feeling for his family and friends.

Are they trying to capture him? Is he suspected of a crime?

No, but when a prominent District Attorney goes missing without warning, it might be a sign of a crime!

Sheesh!

If he knows he is in the news via a police report he should contact authorities and say hey I am fine I am choosing to walk away from my relatives.

For his sanity or not we don't always know what leads someone to say I have had enough. Could be he is a rotton guy running off from responsiblity or his family is so hurtful he has had enough torture.
