NEW YORK (Billboard) -- AC/DC's 1980 breakthrough "Back in Black" has been certified for U.S. shipments of 21 million copies, tying it for fifth place with Billy Joel's "Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & II" on the Recording Industry Assn. of America's all-time best-sellers list.
The Australian hard rock group's first album with lead singer Brian Johnson, who replaced Bon Scott following his alcohol-related death, "Back in Black" was originally released by Atco and was reissued in 2003 by Epic along with the rest of the band's catalog.
Joel's "Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & II" reached 21 million in 2000. The leader of the list remains "Eagles/Their Greatest Hits" (Asylum), last certified in 2002 at 28 million. In second is Michael Jackson's "Thriller" (Epic), which reached 27 million in an April RIAA accounting, followed by Pink Floyd's "The Wall" (23 million/1999; Capitol) and "Led Zeppelin IV" (22 million/1999; Atlantic).

freaky!
Rob Halford... my friend said he saw them a bunch of times and he used to yell really goofy, uber-hetero stuff from the stage, like "eat p@$$*y until your jaw falls off!!!" Kind of funny when it turns out he's a flamer!
There's also a hardcore band called Limpwrist. I think all of the members of that band are gay.
I saw Priest in '86. We were about 4 rows from the stage and me and a friend had stacked our chairs so that we standing higher than everyone else. We thought we were so cool because Halford kept coming over and pointing to us and waving. After he blew us a couple of kisses we decide to get back down.
It was a couple of years later when I started hearing the rumors of him beign gay.
You do know that Rob Halford of Judas Priest is gay, right?
Finding out Halford was gay, was as shocking as finding out Liberace was gay. Still a great vocalist, but come on, that leather outfit he wore was a dead giveaway.
That may be, But High-n-Dry is one of the best Metal Albums ever released.
From a Production standpoint One of the Best albums of its time.
That Maybe, But Restless N Wild is another one of the Best albums of that Era.
I totally dig Hayseed Dixie. Proof that good music is like a good story, it works in any genre. And the lyrics are actually easier to understand in bluegrass.
Sorry, guys, but AC/DC is a guy's band. Hubby LOVES them, made me listen to Big Balls more than I can count
The first thing I think of when hearing AC/DC is Dirty Deeds and they're done with Sheep!

No wonder you use a pseudonym.
Can you post that song?
I know a lot of folks won't agree with me on this, but as far as I'm concerned, Pink Floyd and The Doors are the two most overated bands of ALL TIME.
Pink Floyd? Way too depressing for me.... and I listen to The Blues!
Awww... some women love'm too!
...She was standing alone, over by the jukebox Like she'd something to sell I said, "Baby what's the going price?" She told me to go to hell Shot down in flames, Shot down in flames, Ain't it a shame, To be shot down in flames!
You forgot their best song. Let it Rock. Let it Roll. Let it Go.
Always liked Joe. I think he is unfairly lumped in with his imitators (acknowledging the fact that Joe himself took his cues from Robert Plant) in the hair bands of the 80s.
Hate to sound like a 'first/second album' pedant but I did like DL when Pete / Steve were the guitarists (esp High N Dry). Saw Pete on a Behind The Music and he's a tiny little guy. Also looks like he's been dragged behind a truck while sliding on his face.
Dark Side, WYWH & Animals, however, rock.
actually I Photoshopped that picture one day as a joke... I saw that guy's picture posted on Yahoo News Photos or something, he was one of those honky's protesting the Israeli wall over in Palestine (as opposed to an actual Palestinian... think Rachel Corrie). Anyways I found some random background, added the "Dark Side" prism, and there ya go! Instant inside joke.
