The Senate on Wednesday confirmed California judge Janice Rogers Brown for the federal appeals court, ending a two-year battle filled with accusations of racism and sexism and shadowed by a dispute over Democratic blocking tactics. I thought this was a 4 year battle?

I think this one was only a two-year battle. Priscilla Owen was a four-year battle.

That was Priscilla Owens of the Texas Supreme Court. And it was a full four years ... ;-)
