One thing about Canada is you have to look at like you look at the US for Canada has it's red provinces Alberta, Saskatchewan and its blue provinces quebec, east and west coast. I know that especially Alberta would probably vote to leave Canada and join the US if they could. There are some good conservatives in Canada like in the US.
Red regions: Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, interior British Columbia, central/eastern Ontario, southern New Brunswick
Blue regions: Coastal British Columbia, southern Ontario/GTA, Montreal area, balance of Atlantic Canada (population centers of Canada!)
"Teal" regions: Rest of Quebec
"Gray" regions (no real trend visible): northern territories, northern Ontario
