I would be surprised if he is a liberal. He has mostly kept his political opinions and preferences to himself to avoid the taint of having to deal with the criticism. It is refreshing.

I would not, as I obviously believe that he is a liberal. (Allbeit a slightly enlightened one.) That said, he does not broadcast his political leanings to the world like so many others, and for that I do give him credit.

I wonder if DU calls him a conservative.

We do know he is an outspoken traditionalist when it comes to baseball. We also know he is a devout Catholic. These things would suggest he has conservative leanings.

Another thing we know about him is he is very generous with his time and money when it comes to charities, particularly those involving children with cancer. The cancer wing of Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is named in his honor because of his efforts toward having it built.

He can come across as twerpish, but I think he does a good job as a sportscaster and tries to keep out of politics.
