A vintage blue taxicab converted into a seagoing vessel and carrying several Cuban immigrants was intercepted Tuesday off Key West by the Coast Guard, a television station reported.

I used to go to Miami four times a year on business. I found the people who came from Cuba very warm and family oriented. Very nice folks. Hard workers too.
Since they were intercepted before they go to the shore, will they be sent back?
I could say the same of the folks who live in Kentucky. Have fond memories of Paducah and Louisville. :-)
How is it that the U.S. authorities so readily seize Cubans before they can achieve freedom by setting foot on US soil, but sit back watching while others so readily cross the Rio Grande?
