Baptist leader beheaded

A Baptist lay pastor in Bangladesh was beheaded by a group of assailants reportedly tied to a Muslim political party bent on creating a radical Islamic state.

Dulal Sarkar, 35, was the second Christian leader killed in the Asian country in the past year, according to Compass Direct, a U.S.-based news service that monitors persecution of Christians.

Sarkar was attacked as he returned home from discussing his faith with villagers near Jalalpur.

The assailants were identified by a source as a group of 10 Muslims tied to the Jamaat-e-Islami political party, the nation's third largest and a member of the coalition government. Police have arrested three, according to local Christians.

My Southern Baptist Grandma constantly reminds me that in the old testament God told the Israelites to exterminate every one of them less they be a plauge on man for the rest of the days of the world.

I would like to believe that there is a common ground for peace between the faiths, but their actions dictate the failure of diplomacy. Perhaps, we should give them their much wanted "Holy War."

"The religion of peace strikes again!"

Just mentioned this to wife saying Islam struck again and told her "Religion of Peace"----She quickly responded: Yeh, they take a whole person and make him two" pieces!"

It's easy to think that this kind of action is something from the past, but unfortunately, it is very much with us. I feel so blessed to live in a country like the US! But I am so very grateful that people are putting their lives on the line every day for Christ throughout the world. The enemy may think he's winning, but in the early church, the persecution was a major contributing factor to the spread of Christianity. Today, I suspect it will be the same.

Make that the Religion of Piece, as they seem to be very good at carving up their enemies. It's strange to think in this day and age that we still have Christian martyrs. We need to start sticking up for our own. To hell with this crap about handling their Korans like "delicate works of art". Mike Savage was reading from the DoD instructions about how to handle a prisoner's Koran last night. Disgusting. I say, just don't give them any and let them exercise their memories.

I posted that yesterday. I was on my way home from work and heard Savage spout off about that and he is right. I have resisted the attempt to agree with him (I agree with him on most things, about 95% of the time) on how we are "Vietnamizing" the war on terror, but this DOD incident has put me in agreement with Savage. Me, I'd take their Korans away, they eat what's on the menu, and if they act up, I'd march them down on Main Street (or at NASCAR races before the race) naked, in front of a 1957 Chevy convertable (or a 1959 Caddy) with Wallace stickers and loaded with Bubbas armed with shotguns, and they would be made to walk backwards. BTW, they would be shackled by the arms and legs and have GPS and Lo-Jac homing beacons on them.

Sickening. Please, someone explain to me again why the crusades were bad?

Now where would the Religion of Peace™ get such an idea?

Perhaps from Mein Koran?

It's strange to think in this day and age that we still have Christian martyrs.

What is perhaps stranger, or not so strange in the eyes of those who have read, and understood as best they can, the Book of Revelations is the fact that there have been more martyrs for the faith of Christianity in the last century than all previous centuries...

The DOD has given out over 1600 copies of the koran to the prisoners at Gitmo. It is time to take the copies back.

Totally agree with you. That's EXACTLY the way they should be handled.

I love Savage myself. He's kind of like a half crazed, OT prophet. Many people can't take his stridency and honesty, but he tells it like it is, and doesn't pull a punch. I think he's right on most things and unfortunately, I think he's right on the war as well. I think our "leaders" don't have the intestinal fortitude to do what it actually takes to win. It must be incredibly frustrating for our soldiers. The adherents of the "Religion of Peace" are incredibly vicious and single minded -no PC cops in that crowd. We have to toughen up or they're gonna eat us for breakfast.

Absolutely, if they're gonna make the book a bone of contention, take it away and let them recite from memory. They could create the King Gitmo version.

"They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Thank you for this blessed reminder that Christ's martyrs will have their day with Him!

I hope this Baptist didn't get any of his blood on their "HOly" Koran. That would be desecration.

well they just poured gasoline on the fire of christianity. If you look at history, persecution just spreads Christianity faster than a forrest fire. It would be much more effective if the muslims did what people in this country do by letting us believe we do not need to save anyone so we become lazy and lathargic in our faith......

Revelation 20:4

I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God.
