AP - Mon Jun 6, 2:54 PM ET People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, member Chris Link of Norfolk, Va., top, adjusts the cellophane covering on the costume of demonstrator Dezeray Rubinchik of Philadelphia, top right, during a protest in front of the Statehouse, in Providence, R.I., Monday, June 6, 2005. The protest, in which three people placed themselves in containers resembling supermarket meat trays, was meant to compare eating meat with cannibalism. I was in an Animal Rights philosophy class, and even the most adamant animal 'rights' activists agreed that PETA is freakin' nuts.

It would've been funnier if they had no air holes in the package!
I belong to a different PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals!

The good news is that people can change and wise up. I used to give money to Peta, Greenpeace and at one time belonged to the ACLU. Can you believe that?
Boy have I changed!!

Penn and Teller did a "Bullshit!" episode on PETA and it was informative and entertaining.
It showed how wacko these people are, and also showed the gross hypocrisy of some of their leaders.

In all my life, I have never seen the left this far out in left field. I don't think there is a rational voice in the Democrat Party that can stand up against the strangle hold the FAR LEFT has on their Party. What they are offering is not a winning message and if they don't get a grip, it will be several decades before they will be taken seriously again.
Now, if we can get shed of the dead wood in our party, we might witness a 40 year span of control in Congress that will reverse the damage the previous 40 years of Democrat control has done to our Republic

The key to the coming majority is the One Party Republican South
If the GOP can find a way to reach out to Southern blacks, while keeping a hold of Southern whites, they will have a solid block that will serve as a national base for many years to come
Not to mention, it's the fastest growing region in the country.

PETA, an interesting little group
A couple of years ago, they went to the Blessing of the Fleet celebration down in Bayou La Batre to protest commercial fishing.
The only industry in Bayou La Batre is commercial fishing. Needless to say, it did no good.
They've also protested at one of our more prestigious seafood resturaunts, they put a billboard on I-65 one time claiming that if you ate meat, you violate the "shall not kill" commandment.
No one takes PETA seriously, not even the cows.
