Psychedelic-guitar man Jimi Hendrix, soul singer Marvin Gaye, Desi "Ricky Ricardo" Arnaz and actor Steve McQueen, newsman Edward R. Murrow, "Dragnet" detective Jack Webb -- military veterans all. (no i didn't read the rest of the article)

(he was an enlisted man before he became an officer)

Like I said...cheap laff.

May I recomend The Magnificent Seven Mcqueen classic and The great escape.
...or The Great Houdini ?
