Who knew? The nation now will be afforded some unique insight into these former servicemen and 144 other "persons of exceptional prominence" who served in the military. For the first time, their official service records will be opened to the public, the National Archives & Records Administration announced yesterday. The records of 1.2 million enlisted men and women who served in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps from 1885 to 1935 also will be made public.

I thought everyone knew that "most" Americans did their part, post Vietnam. TCM is a wonderful resource, and ya, I know who owns it......

TCM?

Turner Classic Movies, a wonderful cable channel. Old movies (B/W and color), narratives from directors and actors, and late at night they show more modern (for me) movies, from Aliens to Coal Miners Daughter. Uncut with no commercials.

You should have read the article, because it has absolutely nothing to do with Kerry whatsoever

I did. I know. Never said it was related to Kerry.
I was going for a cheap laff. Near as I can figure, Kerry's enlisted (he was an enlisted man for awhile) records will available to the public 10 years after he dies or in 65 years. Hence SF180 eventually not needed.
Like I said...cheap laff.
