Per Fox News Alert...
Hah! Was just reading your profile! You went to Madison?
By the way, Dice went to Madison, too :)
I'm glad to know this, Eck. He certainly is a genius at comedy. To Be or Not To Be was their best movie, and one of my all-time favorites.
My favorite is How to Make an American Quilt, with her singing Neil Diamond's Cherry Cherry with Ellen Burstyn.
Beautiful woman, great actress, RIP.

NEW YORK (AP) Anne Bancroft, who won the 1962 best actress Oscar as the teacher of a young Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, but achieved greater fame as a seductive mother in 1967s The Graduate, has died. She was 73.
She died of cancer, spokesman John Barlow said Tuesday.
She had some interesting supporting roles in movies like "Point of No Return" and "GI Jane." If they ever made a film about Florida 2000, she would have been a lock for the part of Katherine Harris.

Now, I remember "Point of No Return". She was a cool character in that. Good movie.
What a great actress she was. I watched 'The Miracle Worker' a few days ago.
Anne Bancroft and Mel Brooks were incredibly kind to my sister, who was a complete stranger to them. They stepped in and made a rough situation that my sister was having with her employer much better, and they did it in a way that had a lasting impression on the employer, and my sister.
Though I never met Anne Bancroft, my sister says that she was a nice lady.

Not saying they're aren't wrong, though.
One of my very favorites. A lovely person in every respect, and anyone who complains that there are no truly inspiring love stories in Hollywood today doesn't know about Anne and Mel. G-d bless 'em both.
It was my mistake. I spelled her name wrong. It was Anne Bancroft, the actress who died.
Hmm, has Anne Bancroft ever been to the North Pole? Conversley, has Ann Bancroft ever been in a movie?
I guess she's probably most remembered as Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate."
But I'll never forget her for her role as Mary Magdeline in "Jesus of Nazareth." She was great in that movie.
I loved her in 'Charing Cross Road'.
It was dumb and goofy, but fun. Kind of like alot of Mel's pictures.
