Abercrombie and Fitch and its subsidiary Hollister have shown an unusual degree of anatagonism to the name of Christ and an unusual display of wickedness in their promotions.

In protest, we will not allow articles of clothing displaying their logos to we worn, carried or displayed. (even if covered or masked in some way)

But I can understand how it became a legend .. because to be dissed by Oprah could have caused her a lot of damage with the public. Of course .. she had the money to make the story go away .. and she had the money to make it an urban myth.

Was she able to destroy every copy of that show? Millions of people watched it...nobody has a tape? Nobody who was offended wrote to their papers? No story was written about it? Geez, the story has so many holes. I am sure someone has some proof that Liz was even on the show, right. A write up in the papers, a press release, magazines, anywhere, the Internet. No? No record of her appearance on Oprah...must be better than Area 51. She managed to cover it up so that there is no evidence of her ever appearing on Oprah. Yeah, that makes sense.

Well .. why don't you research it .. it seems so important for you to prove I'm wrong.

Hell, I've found a bunch more in the interim, even Focus on the Family tackles this one in it's magazine "Citizen" and it's website. This is a total fabrication, and I don't care if Cyberant claims to have seen it ten times.

I have researched it, and everyone from Snopes to Focus on the Family tackles this particular rumor. It just never happened. I even wrote to Oprah on her website, and when I get a reply from there, I'll post it here too.

No thanks, you're doing a fine job of it yourself.

(this is like an accident, I can't keep myself from watching your suffering.)

FWIW, those dress codes still apply at 29 Palms, CA, Camp Hansen, Okinawa and Camp Pendleton, CA.

I don't believe it. Show me where blue jeans aren't permitted off duty on any modern military base. I simply don't believe a word of it. The world lives in jeans in 2005.

I noticed that several Christian groups condemned the story.

Exactly, Oprah is syndicated. There would have been thousands of those tapes laying around TV stations all over the country.

I'm not the one who is paranoid. I'm the one who actually witnessed the program .. it's other people who refuse to believe. It's your problem.

Paul did meet Jesus, not in a friendly way, either.

To be an Apostle, you had to have met Jesus Christ in person.

According to Acts 1:21 and on, the Apostles chose a replacement for Judas, one who had to be with them from the beginning, the Baptism by John, and to have also seen the resurected Lord.

And with Paul being a Pharisee, there is no way the other Apostles were alien to him in any way. Roman citizenship or not, Paul was a Jew's Jew.

Paul, knowing of his zeal to persecute the church, would have known of Jesus before His death, and surely had seen the Resurrected Lord when he was converted, would NOT have been accepted as a genuine Apostle, nor called himself one unless he knew who Jesus was from the beginning.

Paul saw Jesus many times. Paul saw Jesus before his death, and CLEARLY after Jesus was risen to Heaven, too!

"I assure you, brothers, the gospel I proclaimed to you is no mere human invention. I did not receive it from any man, not was I schooled in it. It came by revelation from Jesus Christ.

You have heard, I know, the story of my former way of life in Judaism. You know that I went to extremes in persecuting the Church of God, and tried to destroy it.

But the time came when he who had set me apart before I was born and called me by his favor chose to reveal his Son to me, that I might spread among the Gentiles the good tidings concerning him. Immediately, without seeking human advisers or even going to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, I went off to Arabia; later I returned to Damascus. Three years after that I went up to Jerusalem to get to know Cephas, with whom I stayed fifteen days. I did not meet any other apostoles except James, the brother of the Lord.

The communities of Christ in Judea had no idea what I looked like; they had only heard that "he who was formerly persecuting us is now preaching the faith he treid to destroy," and they gave glory to God on my account."

BJU takes not one thin dime of America's tax dollars. They do NOT take students who are depended on SSI as their only income and they do not take students on the GI Bill. They are independent and self sufficient. So laugh all you want, but at least none of your money is going to fund what you see as foolishness. Name me ONE other university that can make that claim.

There is only one other that I know of: Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. They also walk the walk of freedom.

When did you see the program with Liz Claiborne? This year, last year 2000, when?

Well .. you can choose to believe whatever you want.

And .. did it ever occur to you that in order to keep Liz from suing Oprah out of business .. Oprah might have destroyed the film and offered the excuse that it never happened ..??

Noooooo! Of course not .. that would be too logical for you.

Well you say you saw it, so we know it aired right?

Then is should be a simple matter anyone having any record of it. I wish you would consider the possibility that you heard it, and after time, have mistaken that for actually seeing it. Since every analysis of the situation deems it a hoax, do you consider the possibility you are mistaken?

Think about it. Someone would have a copy of the show if it aired. You can't unring a bell. This same lie has circulated for year about other people, with just the talk show host changed.

I would like to you just say that it is possible you are mistaken. I am sure you honestly believe you saw it, why would you lie here? But you can have the belief and still be wrong.

I remember back during the Clinton-Monica scandal when Rush used to quote from Paul's letter to Penthouse.
