Hey, I have an idea--why doesn't everyone within 10 miles of the Tulsa Zoo pull the sticks out of their asses.

Hicks wants his religion included or the Hindu icon removed. Whaaaaaaa. Boohoooo. Perhaps the monkeys should have icons of Christ displayed in front? This "my way or the highway" mentality will be the end of the US.

Hey here's a thought; How about we eliminate all religious and cultural references form ell exhibits at the zoo. This would include the quaint little African village set up also.
Its' supposed to be about animals!!!

Are you saying that supernatural assertions do have scientific merit?

That is NOT my point at all.A scientific response for you might be that Occams Razor would eliminate all other possible explanations for life except one. There is a God.

1) How does Occam's Razor eliminiate all other possibilities?
2) How did you come to assume a "God" in the first place?
3) To which "God", out of the thousands worshipped throughout human history, do you refer?
4) How do you come to a supernatural conclusion using a method that only studies the natural universe?

Hindus wont mind. Besides its not a decoration but an educational exhibit depicting the role of the elephant in mythology. Its not to be taken in the religious sense.
Even in India when they have the annual "Ganesh" festival they celebrate it with great pomp and splendor where there are large tableau's that show him fighting evil in all its forms. I have seen one where he is pointing a gun at UBL's head!!
In short people have fun with mythology. But ofcourse if it was a disrespectful display then folks wont like it.

As a Tulsa Zoo member, and a Christian, I have to say I have never ONCE noticed any of this. I think this man, Hicks, is making a mountain out of a molehill.

You wish to have God proven beyond all reasonable doubt? Sorry, God has created the earth and all its contents as proof. If you need more talk to him. If you feel no need for God that is up to you. The truth will be revealed in due time to all. It is a scientific fact you and I will die and IF there is a Judgment Day and IF there is a Heaven or Hell, the deadline for choosing sides will have expired. If you need further information on this there are sources available on this and other forums. Ultimately it is your choice to seek the truth and not mine/others to prove to you anything. We have faith and you have ?????

Not a single one of my points stated this. I cannot imagine how any rational and sane person would derive "I want God proven beyond all reasonable doubt" from any of my questions. I can only conclude from your response that you are either irrational or you that are too dishonest to actually address any of the questions that I asked.
Sorry, God has created the earth and all its contents as proof.
This is an assertion. It is not evidence. Moreover, you still haven't specified the speicifc "God" to which you refer, nor have you explained how you inferred the existence of this specific God or ruled out any others.
It is a scientific fact you and I will die and IF there is a Judgment Day and IF there is a Heaven or Hell, the deadline for choosing sides will have expired.
No, that is not a "scientific fact", that is pure conjecture. Science does not deal with the supernatural, so science cannot make any statements whatsoever about the existence of Heaven, Hell or a Judgement Day.
If you need further information on this there are sources available on this and other forums.
And if they prove to be as irrational and/or as dishonest as you, why should I pay them any heed?
Ultimately it is your choice to seek the truth and not mine/others to prove to you anything.
You are making the assertion. It is fundamentally dishonest of you to make your assertions and then shift the burden of proof to me. Of course, fundamental dishonesty is nothing new from a creationist.
We have faith and you have ?????
Intellectual honesty and rationality, apparently.
I look forward to your reply. I suspect that you will have neither the honesty nor the integrity to actually address a single one of my previous four questions. You may be dishonest enough to even suggest that you did answer them, and you'll probably offer more irrational drivel about faith, "proof" being all around me (even though I never asked for "proof beyond all reasonable doubt", despite your false claim) and perhaps even an appeal to Pascal's Wager, all the while ignoring the question of which God -- out of the thousands available -- you worship and how you came to the conclusion that the specific God that you claim exists actually does exist to the exclusion of all others. But, hey, maybe you'll surprise me and actually do what no creationist here on FR has done: address the questions that I asked in an honest fashion.

Just noticed this story on NBC4LA's site. Thanks for the post. I like the idea that some people are demanding equal time for the creation theory.
