Mexico draws line on return Terms: no death penalty, no life without parole
By Sue Lindsay and Fernando Quintero, Rocky Mountain News June 7, 2005
Mexican authorities will not return Raul Garcia-Gomez to the United States unless prosecutors agree to spare him from execution and life without parole, the Mexican consul in Denver said Monday.
Juan Marcos Gutierrez-Gonzalez, consul general of Mexico in Denver, stressed the cooperation between Mexican and U.S. authorities that resulted in Garcia-Gomez's arrest Saturday night.
"We are now having one of the best moments of Colorado-Mexico relations," he said.
But the consul said recent court rulings in his country prevent the extradition of suspects facing either of the United States' harshest penalties.

This attitude of superiority, plus Bush's blatant supportive position of Fox and his filthy, corrupt country, makes me think Fox has a picture of Bush "riding" a donkey....this is more TOTAL INSANITY, again, supported by Washington. Nice job Washington!! We are real proud of how you protect the interests of the American people...your voters (not much longer)...
Would save a lot of time and American grief.
Protect our borders and coastlines from all foreign invaders!
Be Ever Vigilant!
Minutemen Patriots ~ Bump!
"TOTAL INSANITY, again, supported by Washington"... I don't understand at all. What is George afraid of? The other day a report had Iranians detained for entering the US from Mexico. What's it going to take, another terror attack to address this problem?
Kinda funny..... the wanna-be Marxist phoney Fox can't wait to shuffle a million or so of his "less desireables" over the border into the US for the freebies we offer,yet.... let the US aaaaaaaaaasssssssssskkkkkkkk for one to be sent back over here....and he gets all squishy with us.
Good lookin' out.........you POS.
Instead of returning Raul Garcia-Gomez, he'll send 100 others just like him. So it's a win-win!
Mexico continues to make a chump out of the U.S.
What's it going to take, another terror attack to address this problem?

As perverted as it sounds, this may be what Washington is waiting for as a POLITICALLY CORRECT reason to shut down our borders to illegal traffic. Nowadays, I put NOTHING past the Washington elitists. Nothing else makes any sense at all.
Imagine what would happen should unemployment in the US rise a point or two and a half million of these illegal criminal invaders need other sources of income? This criminal invasion is not only a national security issue, but a crime control issue. Rely on the left-wing media to begin to not report on stories like this.
I'm sure there's no connection between the current climate in Denver regarding Illegals and the speedy capture of this piece of trash.
So now they want to set the terms of his return. Unbelievable.
If ICE started conducting a few round ups in Denver the Mexicans would return the perp like NOW.
Yes, sadly. It's rather obvious to me that there's no political will to correct this situation.
Of course we MUST fix the borders, BUT without the DEMONcRATS leading the way it will become just another way for THEM to demonize Republicans.
We all know that DEMONIZATION it their strong suit, they're very good at it(with their ever present allies in the MSM).
They used Prop 187 in CA to basically wipe out the Republican party for generations.
ANY solution MUST be bipartisan period.
This is a baaad precedent: commit a heinous crime in the US against a government official, run back to Mehico. I dunno, but if I'm the cop's brother, I'm probably thinking "hit squad." The US authorities could later tell the Mexicans they would look into it, but they couldn't extradite a US citizen in Mexico anyway...
In other words, justice will not be done.
They feel that their citizens are entitled to illegally enter the US, and while they are here, they are not bound by American laws. They can murder Americans at will, with no legal consequences, provided that they make it back to Mexico before they get caught.
Or if the Americans will agree that they won't be held to account for their crimes under American law, then they might have to serve a reduced sentence in a cushy American jail, with three meals a day, a soft bed, TV, and free rent.
That's better than they would get if they were honest, and stayed in Mexico the whole time. Where is the justice in that?
Round'em up. Let's send them back NOW! ...and then seal the border with a double fence with humvees in between armed with 50 caliber machine guns. The North American DMZ. And if we don't like that we can't get them to stop crashing the party, just use the same solution...shoot them in the back of the head.
What we see is a people with a very low morality. They love evil more than good. To my way of thinking we cannot get the wall erected soon enough, and need to ship everyone of these ILLEGAL ALIENS back. Each of us needs to write the Mexican embassy and let them know what we think of their culture.
"We are now having one of the best moments of Colorado-Mexico relations," he said.
Best for Mexican cop-killers living illegally in the US, maybe.
To me, it looks like the Denver authorities are simply giving the Mexican government everything they want. I'm sure they will have some kind of an award to give Mr. Garcia-Gomez for murdering an American cop.
Agreed. I just don't get it.
Yes, Iranians from the southern border, and North Koreans from the northern border.
