First of all, the garb he is wearing is a traditional Sikh turban and shawl. The Sikhs are from India. Most are hardworking, moral, small business owners. They have been targeted by the ignorant who identify their turbans with Islamists. Do you think that it is a mistake for Shundler to try to reach out and connect with the Sikhs. There are many Punjabi people in Jersey City, and he would be foolish not to reach out to them.
